I thought we were selling Alonso and buying Barry to make a little money , looks like its going to cost us Alonso + about £5million! Surely this can't be right?

It's still in the realm of paper talk, for me, but it's worrying paper talk nonetheless. If there's anything to these figures, I'd start wondering about Rafa's sanity in addition to worrying about why we so patently have to sell before we buy even when the players we're after are a step or few below world-beater status. Worrying times. :no

20 million is ok if we throw in Carson for 10, Riise for 6, plus 4 cash.

20 cash is madness but over inflating the value of players going the other way plus taking their salaries off the payrole makes it more palatable. Lets wait and see the final details - not that we´ll ever find out (Torres and Mascher for example...).

PS: lets not forget we dont have 20 million cash so how can we pay it? (and still buy David Villa ?!)

Where did we get 20Million from? Is that 20Mil in hard cash or part cash part players?

Supposedly its £19million. £15million + £4million depending on appearances etc etc. I just hope there is a player or two included as part of the deal. Maybe Carson for £10million ? Paying way over the odds imo.

Who said Carrick was worth 30Mil? He went to utd for 18Mil and hes not even worth that. 12Mil maybe at best imo.
