on radio five live just now they were talking about James Beattie and they said that liverpool are looking to make him there player , this is the first i have heard about this ,did not even know he was leaveing??

We should be looking to bring in better quality than James Beattie. Would add little to the team and is very slow for a striker.

We need another big striker as Owen and Pongolle are/were too small against big defenders, Beattie is a good striker but I don't think Beni knows enough about English players yet and thats why he has been looking for Spanish talent.

zackboxer yes i think you are right but to tell you the truth i can not think of any that would like to come to us , it is going to be hard to get them to come , we can not pay over the odds for them ,and our past form will not make them run to us

Beattie's been strongly linked with Aston Villa recently, I'm sure he was linked with Liverpool last summer but not heard anything of it this time round
