0-0 well not a great result but not a bad one.
as i said 0-0 would be good and well looked out on our feet.

Not impressed with either Dossena or Degen up to now. Masch had a good game and Pacheco showed some good touches again. To be honest apart from the penalty we rarely threatened to score, so I suppose a draw is a good result.

I thought Dossena was actually pretty good.

Did nothing much going forward, and strolled back forcing Leto to drop back and cover for him. Never saw him win a tackle or a header either.

Early days ofcourse but Deggen and Dossena look no better than Finnan or Riise really so we are no better off in those areas.

Overall some nice touches and movements but without Torres and Gerrard no end product, so there is still a huge reliance on those two players to deliver.

Forgive me but where is the lad Nemeth in pre season as I have not seen him figure and think he looks a player.

Bottom line is we are still 3 top class players minimum from making a significant improvement to this team and until that day arrives our play will remain at a similair level.

How can you already compare them to Finnan and Risse, when you yourself say it's early days?  This is preseason, let's wait and see how they do with world class players playing in front of them, instead of reserve players.

Few had a good game most was utter shiit.

Not doing them selfs any favors for trying to get a first team spot.

I know you gonna say they aint got match fitness but i dont buy that they just aint trying.

3 games in now plus weeks of fitness training and they aint fit my :censored:.

Pennent was trying but he wasn't up to much.

Masch was good in spells , most of defence was good but as always we didnt have any focus in last 3rd.

Mabye it is just sharpness but i dont buy into it finishing and composure is some thing you have or you dont its not something that improves with fitness levels.

Don't get me wrong we did few things well , moved ball around nicely in spells and defended well but this is a basic for liverpool.

Next game i wanna see more focus on getting in good crosses and better finishing and mabye over loading the box more we never seem to have players in their area.

Perhaps they are over-training, plenty have said there is a lot of preseason left and you build fitness up gradually. Basically exercise damages the muscles and you grow more muscle tissue as it repairs itself. But anyone who does exercise regularly will know the value of rest and not overdoing it.

And what I've seen of Dossena and Degen so far doesn't bode well, it may only be preseason blah blah blah, but you can get a decent picture of some aspects like attitude, defensive mindedness, ability to pass, cross, dribble, tackle, win headers etc. We've got four good to excellent CBs, perhaps we'll see four of them across the back or play three at the back! :D

yeah I agree I used to do pre season training and I never found skills such as my shooting or passing to get better just how long i could run before my legs felt tiered.  :D

Of course running out of energy will drop your shooting and passing but these guys playing most of 45 mins and that isn't much at there level.

I remember playing football none stop at age of 16 from 10 am to like 7pm every day in summer one year i don't remember getting jaded or tiered.

Yes it wasn't at standard these guys play at but still it can be used to demonstrate the pointless excuses of preseason fitness , I really feel it doesnt play a part in performances at least not when they only playing a 45 min half.

To add sami is oldest guy out there and doing alot better then some of the under 25s just goes to show fitness doesn't play a part , You either good or just lacking in quality.

My real reason why i think they are not looking good is more to point just lack of real effort on there behalf which is a real shame.

Apart from voronin and benny who i think in first 3 games have put tons of effort in.

Shame voronin some times just trys to hard I think.
