I thought Dossena was actually pretty good.

but you can get a decent picture of some aspects like attitude, defensive mindedness, ability to pass, cross, dribble, tackle, win headers etc

And what I've seen of Dossena and Degen so far doesn't bode well, it may only be preseason blah blah blah, but you can get a decent picture of some aspects like attitude, defensive mindedness, ability to pass, cross, dribble, tackle, win headers etc. We've got four good to excellent CBs, perhaps we'll see four of them across the back or play three at the back!

yeah I agree I used to do pre season training and I never found skills such as my shooting or passing to get better just how long i could run before my legs felt tiered.![]()
Of course running out of energy will drop your shooting and passing but these guys playing most of 45 mins and that isn't much at there level.
I remember playing football none stop at age of 16 from 10 am to like 7pm every day in summer one year i don't remember getting jaded or tiered.
Yes it wasn't at standard these guys play at but still it can be used to demonstrate the pointless excuses of preseason fitness , I really feel it doesnt play a part in performances at least not when they only playing a 45 min half.
To add sami is oldest guy out there and doing alot better then some of the under 25s just goes to show fitness doesn't play a part , You either good or just lacking in quality.
