Nice play from Pacheco, Kuyt should have scored

Much better performance second half, Masch was far and away the best player and my Man of the match. Pacheco certainly looks one for the future, some clever touches and worked hard.

dossena will be rotated with arbeloa, auerlio

degen rotated with carra, arbeloa

Totally agree.

Pacheco will be one to watch this year, maybe not the big games but I would like to see him playing just off Torres against the likes of Bolton, Stoke, WBA & Hull etc

Just because they are being rotated it doesn't give them a pass to not be able to defend correctly.  Sure, its early, but these are teams that shouldn't be troubling too much.

Dont let the boy from SS here you say that, it'll up set him.

Anyway that Polish outfit were a pretty decent footballing side. In the first half especially they gave us the runaround and were the better side. I havent watched the second half yet.

I wish we'd play football like the mighty Wisla Krakow produced. I said recently in another thread that I think our footballing style should be tweaked a fair bit to produce more interchanging, link-up play, and one touch. We still sit off teams, which I dont mind too much, but when were in possesion I'd like to see a bit more passing and moving in the final third, at times were to narrow and predictable.

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

We fielded less than half the side that will start the opening match of the season so it's not too surprising, that and the poles are near enough the start of their season already.

We did look much better second half, what worries me is we may not see half of the players we're seeing now until next pre-season or maybe the Carling Cup.

Poor in the first half and lucky to get to half time at 1-1 , they played better than us and should have led us at half time . 2nd half the lads played better and paceho did well when he came on , looks like the youngster is making a push for the first team or at least a place on the bench next season . Wisla are a pretty decent football team and i think 1-1 is a fair result , roll on hertha berlin and hopefully we can see some first team players returning back and starting the match

For me the team was under par even for this stage of pre season even with no match fitness i really do think they should be more effective.

I hope next few games can start to look like a team rather then 11 upset little kids who dont wanna play with each other.

Shankly used to say most importnat thing about football is willingness to want to work for each other and i didn't see that much in this game.

Just hope the we havent upset the ballance of personalities in the camp because that might disrupt us early in the season.

I am a fan of babel but the lack of effort he has show in this first 2 games is not acceptable total shambles.  :no

He better get his act together or he have one less surporter at his time at this club.

Eh calm down mate regarding the friendlies!

Its not lack of effort, the lads are doing duble and triple training sessions, they even have tough training sessions on the mornings of these matches so of course theyre gonna appear sluggish, their body and mind will be tired going into these games so lack of effort of sulking and not wanting to play with each other is a bit harsh!!!

Never judge a team in preseason!!
