Finally lost my patience with kewell last season, was always willing to give him a go even though he kept disappointing us every season

Every single time he made a comeback i would be like, right this is when we get to see the real kewell, but poof* he was injured again so i finally gave up, and good riddance to ya, have fun at your new club, hope you like the medical staff

**Perfect word for the big pansy there

Always hoped he would do well but just felt he let us and himself down and that will be my memory of him, all the excitement of signing him has totally been forgotten.  As much as I can remember Kewell for the player he was I also think of how he could/should have been.

For any aussies the bad feeling comes from him signing as a lifelong Liverpool fan and he was an extremely exciting player but injuries aside and he has had more than his fair share he never showed commitment to the club and does come across as selfish and self centred.  Compare to Carragher or Gerrard it becomes even more embarrassing

Aussie Style wrote:Also to those that say it is an OUTRAGE he could join Galatasaray after the tragedy during his Leeds career, here is a letter Kewell sent to Skysports.

In an open letter sent to Sky Sports, Kewell writes:

"My love and respect for Leeds United FC and what the club has done for me will never change, no matter what anyone says about me and whatever their motives are.

"My sense of sorrow and sympathy for the families and friends of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight will always be with me.

"I chose the No 19 shirt when I signed for Galatasaray AS as a sign of respect for Leeds because that was the number I got when I first became a regular member of the Leeds United FC starting XI.

"I felt that it might be a way to demonstrate that I had not forgotten where it all started and I was hoping that in a small way it would help the healing process of the tragedy that occurred on the 5th of April 2000.

"For me, sport should first and foremost be about the love of your game. But equally important is the respect for not only your team-mates but all those who you compete against.

"For this reason I have always objected to any form of discrimination in any sport and football in particular, as that is the sport that is the most near and dear to me.

"To blame the Galatasaray AS club for the tragedy in Istanbul is simply wrong and discriminatory. This is a club founded in 1905 that has a proud history of striving for sporting excellence and it should be given the same respect as any other football club.

"I respect everyone's right to have their own opinion on whatever they like, but that does not make their opinion right.

"No-one has to agree with my views or my choices, but I think it's only fair and reasonable to allow me and my family to enjoy the same democratic rights as expected by those that have been attacking me over the last few days."

shame the fuc.ker didnt write a letter to liverpool saying sorry for being total sh.itbags all these years and wasting 10 mil + wages what a muppet.

I might add one of most over rated players of all time imo and wouldnt be worthy to eat my left overs wimpy ball bag.

Our PE teacher at school played football better then him and he only had 1 leg and to add to that he was right footed and he  only had his left leg.

Kewell is a perfect example of a player who will be remembered for his skill and the way he played, but in truth finished his career (in the top leagues) having done next to FA. He really should be embarrassed by his contribution to English football, a decent stint at Leeds for all his talent simply isn't good enough.

Surely people are being a bit harsh on the guy, i mean, i cant believe the guy would WANT to be injured all the time and sit on the bench every season, yeah hes been getting a fat wedge for doing f.uck all  but surely he'd rather have been out there making a name for himself

But then i suppose he did reject our offer to stay here on less money so yeah he is a bit of a tw.at for that like, should show a bit more gratitude, we did put up with him for like 5 seasons of injury and costing us money after all
