As sad as it was that two Leeds fans were murdered by Turkish fans, it has nothing at all to do with Kewell and where he decides to finish his career.

What next , no German players should play in England because of the war !

:nod , people should get off kewell's back , its his personaal decision and everyone should respect that .

this is Leeds Utd we're talking about....their fans are scum bags in their own right and are still moaning about Caontona going to manure!

Kewell is a T,,osser don't care about Leeds i only judge Kewell  as the pansy he is, can we have back the 10mil we payed you for 5 years of sitting on your backside, I think not.

Keep defending him as a person because let me tell you there is nothing to defend always fit for his country and diving on bords at swimming pools and always having the energy to sh@g his t.art and make her preggers, but can't play for LFC. F..UCK KEWELL GOOD RIDANCE K.UNT

Because of course he wanted to be injured all the time? That has to be one of the most misguided posts.

Absolute bullsh!it mate he WAS NOT offered a new contract by Liverpool. Rafa did not offer him a new contract as was reported. That is a fact.

Source?

Rafa:

"With Harry Kewell we were talking with his agent and we tried to progress and reach an agreement but we didn't make any agreement, so he will be released at the end of the season."

Yeah exactly mate, he loved having his career hampered by injuries, absolutely loved not being able to play football, loved the criticism. You can't blame him for bad luck, he went down EVERY possible path to enable a speedy recovery so he could get back on the pitch. I don't see how any one on here can knock a guy for accepting his wages??

I bet everyone else on here wouldnt have told the club to keep the money, and I also bet everyone on here happily accepts there wages when they take sickies from work.

And whats his missus ever done wrong by any of you bitter old c*nts? Leave them alone you haters.

Also to those that say it is an OUTRAGE he could join Galatasaray after the tragedy during his Leeds career, here is a letter Kewell sent to Skysports.

In an open letter sent to Sky Sports, Kewell writes:

"My love and respect for Leeds United FC and what the club has done for me will never change, no matter what anyone says about me and whatever their motives are.

"My sense of sorrow and sympathy for the families and friends of Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight will always be with me.

"I chose the No 19 shirt when I signed for Galatasaray AS as a sign of respect for Leeds because that was the number I got when I first became a regular member of the Leeds United FC starting XI.

"I felt that it might be a way to demonstrate that I had not forgotten where it all started and I was hoping that in a small way it would help the healing process of the tragedy that occurred on the 5th of April 2000.

"For me, sport should first and foremost be about the love of your game. But equally important is the respect for not only your team-mates but all those who you compete against.

"For this reason I have always objected to any form of discrimination in any sport and football in particular, as that is the sport that is the most near and dear to me.

"To blame the Galatasaray AS club for the tragedy in Istanbul is simply wrong and discriminatory. This is a club founded in 1905 that has a proud history of striving for sporting excellence and it should be given the same respect as any other football club.

"I respect everyone's right to have their own opinion on whatever they like, but that does not make their opinion right.

"No-one has to agree with my views or my choices, but I think it's only fair and reasonable to allow me and my family to enjoy the same democratic rights as expected by those that have been attacking me over the last few days."
