then the live action will be more like the battlestar galactica series

ALWAYS listen to Manhattan.

It's only being directed by David Filoni.

But Lucas is the producer.

Bad Bob, it's not Xabi, it's his brother!

 Forgot to mention that one the other week when Woof wanted recommendations.  My missus loves and kept insisting I watch it but it just seemed like another cheesy sci-fi show with not nearly enough totty to be interesting. :D  Well, she wore me down and I watched a few episodes with her and got well hooked on it.  It's nothing overly special but the stories are fun, the dialogue is good and the classic rock takes me back!  Good show. :nod

BTW, the two brothers (lead characters) look remarkably like Xabi Alonso and Fabio Aurelio!  :D

I watched the first series and part of the second series of Supernatural, but it began to seem too much the same every week.

I agree Bob that bloke does look like Alonso, I put it in the lookalike thread ages ago but no-one seemed to agree :D

I am just waiting for the 3rd series of Dexter, it lost its way for about 6 or 7 episodes in the second series but came back with a "bang " in the last few episodes.

House and Monk I always download and watch. Probably my favourites at the moment.

Yes, mate, "Sam" does look a bit like Mikel Alonso as well.

Although, Xabi's brother also kinda looks a little like this bloke, but with more hair:

Agree, mate, there is a bit of a formula to the show.  That said, I thought that the second season was class throughout.  I've yet to watch any of the 3rd season, though.

That's good to hear...you had me worried with your earlier critique.  I'm following Dawsonio's advice and reading the first book at the moment.  Boss read!  :nod

If I remember correctly apart from the evil beings they despatch every week there's a longer thread running through the story.

Sam (the younger brother) apparently could get sucked to the dark side and become a major player for evil. His elder brother Dean in the meantime sacrificed his life/soul to the "devil"  to help Sam but was given a years grace before the "devil" collected. At the end of the second series that year is up.

Great show.

Have you tried Band Of Brothers Woof?

Ive started watching it and so far its not to bad

Band of Brothers was brilliant TV. Probably really the last excellent show on TV that I can remember.TV needs more of stuff like that.
The first series of Heroes was good after watching it, which I was reluctant to do, but it was surprisingly good. The second series, however, was not so good. Terrible in parts, in fact. Hope  it gets better when it returns.

I also watched a show called Jericho a few months back on the computer. It was actually a decent show that got better and better as it went on. Sadly it wasn't pulling in the viewers and they axed it after 2 seasons, or a season and a half.

Band of Brothers was top quality .

Surprised to hear about Jericho ER. Are you sure it's axed. I thought season two finished after seven episodes because of the writers strike . Damn, things were just getting really interesting with various "states" squaring up and the nuclear bomb on it's way to Texas.

Yep. Jericho got axed. If you watched it from start to finish, you'd have noticed that it started to gather a frantic pace with some of the lead characters getting into all kinds of sh*t and some dropping like flies. These were probably highlighted plot developments that the writers had wanted to drop a bomb on viewers with gradually over a period of a few seasons rather than the one and a half that they were given. The last episode had a lot going on, probably too much, but it was because it was re-written to tie up ends in the story. It's a shame, because it had a lot of potential to go further and was a really well done show. It's probably what would really happen if something like that took place.

Not sure if you saw any of this Dawsinio   :(

So own up Misty, Buffy or Angel ?   :D

I never got into the former but eventually got hooked on Angel. Loved the character of Spike (the english vampire) . when the show finally closed I was praying for a Spike spin off. I guess praying wasn't the right thing to do.   :D
