I'm glad plenty worked out the point, as it happens I didn't know the answer for sure (guessed it was Xabi Alonso and Scott Carson) I will point out I didn't state I knew the answer, only there was a definite answer.
And it generated some discussion which is good, why it is bad that players signed in the first season under Rafa didn't survive. I guess you could repeat the process, if anyone has longer than the 15 mins I have now, for each of his seasons. I might do the stats for each of Rafa's seasons, if I can be bothered. See who was signed, how much and and how long they lasted. Might also be interesting to confirm where they came from and where they went, that might take a bit longer.
We do have too high a turnover, the quality players we had before Rafa have survived. Surprise is Kewell, Riise and maybe even Finnan have survived as long as they have. How can we gain stability with constant turnover? How can we win titles if we're continually signing poor quality, to such an extent they don't even last?!?!
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
