:D

Why is it necessary to paraphrase what was a fairly clear post into something which is entirely different to the obvious meaning? It happens all the time.

"I think Rafa over-rotates" becomes, "so what your saying is we should play the same team in every single game?".

"I think we should have challenged for the title once at least in four years" becomes "so what you're saying is we should p!ss the league every season?".

Why?

What Ace is saying and it's a perfectly fair point, is Rafa should either have played Crouch much more often last season than he did, or he should have sold him before the season was complete in order to maximise his transfer value.

Cue the "so what your saying is anybody who isn't in the starting eleven every single week should instantly be sold?".

I read that interview too. He dismissed the chances of signing Crouch as Liverpool wanted 15 mill', but kind of said that if the price was 10 mill then there miught be a possibility they could do something. That said, he's got a bit of the used car salesman about him as 'Arry and I wouldn't be surprised if he meant they could "negotiate off" that figure, ie end up buying him for 7 or 8.

All things considered though and given the remaining length of Crouch's contract, 6 million even will look like a lot of money in three months time. I'm in happy clappy mood today, so can I just take this opportunity to say I think the whole situation has been handled magnificently.

Ok, he said on live TV " id definitely be interested at 10 ". About as clear as it can be really.

But to be fair with this one i dont think there is any way we can say that Rafa hasnt mishandled this situation.

Well Ace i'm glad you found Leons sarcasm funny :D

But that sentence there wont go down with the Enviromentalist well, you have to say......

' Rafa is brilliant and handled the whole situation perfectly'.

The thing is we ALL want the same thing.....success for Liverpool, we just see different ways to achieve it. Criticise Gillett, Hicks and Parry, and you are seen as a defender of Liverpool, suggest that maybe Rafa has just possibly cost us a point or made a questionable decision and you get hung drawn and quartered.

I hope Rafa turns out to be the best and most successful manager we have EVER had, because I want Liverpool to be the best. Not because I want to prove a point or show I am Liverpools biggest fan ever.

Maybe we should all just say "in Rafa we trust " and leave it at that. Stop debating who we should buy, sell, rotation, formations etc...... just leave it all to Rafa.  It would make for a happier site, but not much of a forum.

he'll be a pompey player within 48 hours.

£10m is a decent price considering he's only got one year left on his contract.

If thats the case then surely we are going to sign another striker.

10 million would be very good business considering his contact situation.

Especially considering we only got £8m for Owen who had won the European player of the year award only a few years previous.
