Neil Rieve and I have been working on a Amstrad Action tribute magazine for some time now and its almost completed...

here are the details


A message to all retro fans

Amstrad Action tribute magazine issue 118 is coming soon.

A big announcement for all Amstrad Action fans and retro gamers in general. After 18 months in the making - on and off anyway - an Amstrad Action tribute magazine will be available on-line from 9 June 2008. As many CPC and retro fans will know, Amstrad Action was the best selling and longest running magazine for the Amstrad CPC range of computers. Despite running for over 100 issues it didn't go out with a fitting farewell issue. This tribute magazine hopes to resolve that.

The finishing touches to the magazine are being done as I write this. The magazine will be available in both printed and PDF formats (the download will be free while the printed version will be a minimal payment). Content will include reviews, news, features, interviews with the ex-magazine staff, interviews with people in the CPC scene, and much more. There might even be some exclusive blogs to tie in with the launch. See you soon.

I'm a ZX Spectrum supporter. Sir Clive Sinclair, that was a Sir, and not Ferguson.

Nice one, the rubber keys one is more classic though.

Many people have one of those and throw them to the trash bin. You can get 30 quid easily for one, and if it happens to be special for some reason (even a mistake), you can get more.

Probably the most important gift as a child, I don't think I would have studied computers if it wasn't for the Speccy. You start copying lines to have infinite lives in your fav game, and you end up wanting to know more about the machine.

Those were the days. With 3 lives, you had to play 40 mins. If you were killed, then you started over again. That was discipline, not the nowadays games in which you can save every 10 seconds. Pah.

My older cousin had one of those and when I was about six santa Clause brought me one of these:



I can remember saving me pocket money for ages when the Official Batman movie game came out (dead expensive - £9.99  ) and when I finally got the game found out it was shite. 

Used to love the game JETPACK, that was fookin awsemone that game!!
