There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

What so because you and all the other ninkonpoops wont be able to whinge and use as an excuse.

Infact I'd rate and respect Rafa more for coming out and saying this, deep down he may not believe it, but at least hes trying to stay positive and be positive rather than whinging and using it as an excuse like a few people on here do.

A bad workman always blames his tools.

In reality Rafa may not have the money to compete but at least make a damn good fight of it, exactly what he done when he was at Valencia and competing with Barc and Madrid.

You misunderstood me Bam!
It was not a dig at Rafa more to do with my frustrations at Bert and Ernie in the states.
As for using lack of transfer funds as an excuse, its not an excuse. Its a fact of modern day football and the times we live in.
Most of the time when a team has the capability to spend big it breeds success.
UTD dont really have to spend as big as others(although they can if needed) because Fergie has built his team over many years he can afford to bring in one or two players a season and keep momentum going. Its just a matter for them of bringing in quality when his players are nearing the end of their careers.
Chelsea on the other hand can buy any player that is willing to join their ranks and outbid any competetor in the process!

Anyway back to my initial point.
It seems VERY strange to me that not very long ago our manager was saying how he wanted and needed funds for transfers!
Only a short time later he is saying it does not matter if we have'nt much money.
Maybe im wrong but when i read that quote alarm bells went off in my head!
To me it sounds as if he has been told by our"owners" that no money is available and he must sell to raise the funds for who he wants!Or maybe they have told him to keep quiet as its making them look bad?
Its not good enough for a club of LFCs stature to have to go about things this way.
With Rafa needing to sell before he buys he is loosing vital time in the transfer market.Players that he wanted may be sold before he sells his to get money.Or they may be being courted for various clubs hence pushing the price up to extortionate rates that we cannot afford!

Im not blaming Rafa on anything in fact im sure he is as frustrated as any fan with G&H

As for not blaming the tools?
Im not very sure what you intended by that?
Surely you are not implying that if we are forced to splash out on mediocracy and squad players while our competetors buy quality talent,we cannot complain?

Well im afraid we can complain because its high time those two kunts were gone! And if they have not got the cash to take us where we need to go,this is only another reason on top of many more why they should fu'ck off!

Not sure what to make of Rafa´s message........ here for good, come what may.

Has he no balls? He´s gonna allow H&G to work him like a puppet, no money, no stadium, no league.......

He should give LFC 2 more seasons MAX to get what he wants or give it the old `Hasta la vista, I´m outta here´ to Real or someone.

Dont understand why he´d want to put up with the H&G BS.

Maybe he's expecting them to feck off soon and is just biding his time and making all the right noises in order to ensure he's still in charge when they do sell off? ???

Yeah that would be great! :D

Then LFC are stuck with two skint geriatric rednecks and a shi'te manager like Jurgen Klinsman!
Not good!
Its the yanks who need to move on not Rafa!

Yeah but my point is Rafa is in the strongest position in the club.....  if he even blinks, Barcelona, Real, AC Milan, Inter, Juve ETC.. would jizz all the way to Speke.  He doesnt need to show loyalty to G&H.

Maybe as Bad Bob says he just wants to be in pole position as and when DIC take over.

You never know, that comment might be specifically aimed at someone who might have just tapped him up anyway (and I dont mean Purple Aki).

Might be because he loves the fans and the football club, we have shown faith with him when he needed us and now he is returning the favour as long as Rafa is our manager there is still hope within the Anfield walls.

If Rafa left and they appointed their own yes man as manager
IMHO we would become vounrable and the fans would be left out in the cold while they corrupt our club from within, But while Rafa still walks the halls of Anfield we have an eternal allie.

Have you ever thought maybe that he loves LFC and has no interest in managing another club?

Strikes me as way to stubborn to quit when he has'nt finished what he started.I can understand where you are coming from i guess because everyone has their breaking point when enough is enough!
It will be a sad day if our manager ever walks because of those two!

People have to remember aswell that our back 4 has cost half of ferdinands transfer, not to mention the other sh!tehawks at the Mancs & Chelsea.

Rafa puts Pennant on the bench he cost 7 million, Chelsea put Sheva & SWP on the bench combined cost 47 million not to mention the others.

Until he is given the proper funds its very unfair to judge him whilst the others are still spending.

Even if rafa left another manager wouldnt have won us the prem last season either.

Looking forward to next season with Babel and Torres and hopefully 2 brilliant wingers.

Two words - Arsene Wenger. You don't have to spend the most to win the title, or even to compete with the top clubs. The problem with Wenger is he wins the league and then likes to dismantle the entire side, last time they were counted there were only three or four of the side remaining that went unbeaten in winning the title in 2003/4

Many will offer money as an excuse, fact remains we spend more on players than SEVENTEEN other clubs in the Premiership and yet we drop points against those sides.

2007/8

vs Man Utd/Chelsea : 2 points out of 12 = 10 points dropped (83%)

vs 3-8 : 20 points out of 30 points = 10 points dropped (33%)
vs 9-17 : 43 points out of 54 = 11 points dropped (20%)
vs 18-20 : 11 points out of 18 = 7 points dropped (38%)

We dropped SEVEN points against relegated sides, and having done the hard work of winning away we dropped points at home to villa and Wigan as well as dropping home points against spudz and brum who both finished in the bottom half. Add the points we dropped against brum and Reading, both relegated, and we'd be within FOUR points of the champions. Those aren't points dropped because the mancs and Chelsea have more money than us, that was casual and entirely down to Rafa. Like a wicket-keeper dropping a few simple catches in a match, we might not have won the Test but it would have been a lot closer had the catches been taken.

The most worrying thing for me is we've got no money and we're chasing an over-priced English player we don't need. And of course don't forget that a lack of money to spend on players means we seek out freebies, if we want to improve we need quality signings not cheap ones.
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

I'm not so sure Nanny. He's seen the Chelsea, Inter Milan and Barca jobs come up but for somereason didnt jump. I dont think its because of teh fans.

Isnt his contract up next year, didnt H&G offer a 12 month extension? ???

Maybe he's gonna put himself on eBay in 12 months.
