If Viera is no longer going to Madrid shouldn't we be looking at a cash only deal now that Madrid still have the money.
I see £8 mill + a player Madrid no longer want as poor business , with cash we could pick exactly who we want.

Good point in theory Woof Woof, but if we hold out any longer, we will lose Mikey fior ****** all!!

The fact is we are not in pole position here, Madrid are, they can call the tune, because Mikey wants to go there, and he only has a year left on his contract.

however i wish people would stop going on about the deal being only worth 8 million. that is about average for a player with only a year left on his contract. what p#sses me off is that madrid offered to throw in morientes as part of the deal and then decided they wanted to keep him. :angry:

Yeah you're probablly right, and despite his claim that he wouldn't leave us on a bosman , like you I feel we have been well and truly shafted .

Shudda sold him last year , before the Euro's, when figures of 25Million were been brandished about ....

I'm not that disappointed to be honest - I was more gutted when Fowler left ...

I think we've spent 4 season tryin to partner Owen unsuccessfully and the time is right to start something fresh - ...
