Yes, boycotting. If anyone wants to catch me out on the whole "well you might as well stop drinking Carlsberg, and stop watching Sky" I have this to say:

I don't subscribe to Sky seeing I've learned a sneaky way round doing so. I also watch games on the net.

I don't drink Carlsberg.

I don't ever intend on going to Anfield with these two in charge, ever.

I'm buying a fake kit.

I'll be producing some art work about what this club is really all about. Franchise my f*cking ar$se!

Thank you for your time.

:nod Spot on lash.

Barry lad , have you been on the pop again. :D

The clubs in turmoil, we face the biggest season in 2 decades and apparently the manager is a clueless idiot.

So what you going to do about it ?

The manager is a clueless idiot? I would think whoever said that (if indeed anybody did) is probably a clueless idiot so I wouldn't be taking their point of view too seriously.

The club is in turmoil though at the top end and although for people like me who live 12,000 miles away there is obviously absolutely nothing whatsoever I can do about it, it is a question which match going fans are going to have to consider at some point. I would think that an attendance boycott is probably unworkable (although it would be by far the most effective way of getting the owners to sell IMHO) but I do like the idea of boycotting the merchandise, the shop (which indeed ought to have a picket outside it on matchdays) and the refreshement outlets within the ground.

As for it being the biggest season in two decades,  I'm not really sure what the topic starter means. Perhaps though it's one of those sarcasm posts and I'm missing the point again.

That's the thing though mick ,you can do things to help .

I'm 2 miles from anfield , but i bet you've been to more games than me in the last 5 years.

You can email Adidas ,carlsberg and other sponsors voicing your concerns .

You can join the SOS fans union £10 subscription. THey will be your voice at the match .

You can encourage friends and family to not buy merchandise .

You can tell people over in New Zealand about the boycott and maybe they won't buy merchandise .

These are things we can all do ,wether were 2 or 12,000 miles away.

Was there really any need for this thread?

As with some people liking the sound of their own voice.........................

Exactly. Protesting does nothing and if you give up your season ticket someone else will snap it up. The only real thing you could do is cordon off the turnstyles so NOONE can get in, but then the police would intervene and it still wouldn't affect decisions at higher levels such as boardroom level.

If the yanks had cared what the fans think they may have consulted us at any stage. Did they buggery.............................
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Mate its a catch 22 and them yanks know it!
We can boycott the club we know and love or support as usual!

The one thing i will say is that for every boycottee there will be 10 to take his ticket!
The only ones that hold power are season ticket holders but im not even sure if LFC have a right to flog their ticket if they dont want to go in!

Its easy for me to sit here in Belfast and say,i support or i dont support the boycott.
Bottom line mate our club folded last year! And have only been to Anfield once this year.
I would set myself on fire and walk across broken glass on my co'ck to get back over, thats how much i love Anfield and love LFC

So I really doubt a boycott with all good intentions will do any good cause there are many more like me!

No one is saying don't go the match Barry , i would never tell anyone to boycott the match , how could i . All that is being asked is this .

If you go the match , don't buy any merchandise ie a hotdog or a bevvy (i know that ones hard :D ) .

Don't go into the club shop . If you can wait until the yanks have gone to get your new shirt, then try and do so .

Tell fellow supporters about the merchandise boycott and try to get them onside.

Use the power of the internet to get as many people onside as possible , tell the sponsors , tell everyone you can.
