There have been previous threads about this kind of topic in here before. But now as I see Australia as home, I think its fair game to ask members on this board .. 'What has gone wrong with Britain ?'
Now I've only been living in Australia for four and a half years, hardly a lifetime away. This was my second visit to Old Blighty in that time. Never have I found England so unsettling. Of course I have been accustomed to the way of life in Australia and settled quite nicely. But never would I of thought after visisting England after two years the way I did. I immediately (after seeing my family) felt like getting on the first plane back to Oz.
When I left four and half years ago the warning signs were there, with the way Britain has become. Back then it was mainly asylum seekers, taxes, the youth of today and Muslim clerics that preeched hate and violence towards the west. Today its all that and then some.
Well obviously I was a happy clapper and an optimistic mug, to believe that the British Government would go some way to eradicate these problems.
The British Government ......... In the short time I was there I'd been submereged into the news that quite alot of our own MP's, especilly those ones that lived in the home countys were on the fiddle. They abused their positions. Trouble starts at the top and its no wonder why the country which once was a proud nation is now IMO a rotting and withering nation. With all kinds of colours and creeds on the take, including white lay about dole bludgers.
For example the ministers living in the home countys are allowed a secondary home closer to London to save alot of commuting and what not, thats just about fair enough, bearing inmind this is at the tax payers expense. Each minister ontop of their annual wage were then given a whopping 22,000 pound each to refurb and maintain these secondary homes. Of course I draw the line their as its at the taxpayers expense again. Infact I find it quite appaling that the average taxpayer who earns less in a year tahn alot of these ministers has to dip into his or her pockets to keep these ministers homes maintained and refurbished.
Whats more disturbing is that there are MP's claiming this 22,000 pound benefit who dont even have a secondary home. They are just spending the money on having sky installed and all sorts of luxuries that they shouldnt be spending it on, at the tax payers expense.
Our own MP's are on the take ! Its corrupt how can the Government expect average people from rawting the benefits system and tax systems when our own MP's are it, what kind of example is that setting ?
Another thing that makes me wonder, we're apparently the fourth richest nation in the world, SO WHAT !
We still have dirty hospitals, mixed wards, the NHS is no better off after having millions seemingly pumped into it. IMO being the fourth richest nation on earth has no direct benefit on people and families alike who live in it. We maybe able to squander millions/Billions of pounds in charities and donations to countrys in strife, and Billions into pointless wars, but its all at the expenes of the British public, and makes the public worse off for it. Yes statistically on paper we are a rich and wealthy nation, with up yuntil a year or two ago had a very strong econcomy.
But what does that statistic do for the likes of you and me. Apparently not alot by all accounts. In order to be the rich nation that we apparently are, our poll tax, income tax, rates, electricty and gas along with petrol go through the roof. Again Joe Bloggs takes the brunt of the costs and for what ?
For Gordon Brown to do a u-turn on his 10p tax credit. Or to hit you with the costs of throwing w\away your rubbish, kinell another tax! Throwing away your rubbish, pardon me for thinking that was in the cost of Poll tax. A poll tax that was introduced by Margaret Thatcher and a tax the Scottish said f.uck off to. Where as by contrast the English of course roll over and just cough up what ever bill/tax is thrown in their way. The English are a soft touch and the Government knows it, hell Europe knows it. Any pilot scheme thats introduced in Europe will usually always be tested out first in Britain because I reckon they know we'll just cough it up.
It seems that anyway they can the British Government will screw over their own people, look at petrol prices for example. British petrol is on eof the most expensive in Europe (and BTW fair play to those haulage and lorry companies who protested that on the M4, more of that is whats needed). The Governemnet know they can get away with taxing petrol through the roof, in the same way road tax looks to be going up 200 pounds to certain drivers. They do it because a) they can and b) all in the name of saving the enviroment. But thats an argument that has been demolished by official figures which shows revenues will double to more than 4 billion pound, yet carbon dioxide emissions will fall by less than 1 percent.
On a slightly lighter note, but an even more terrifying thought. I read in the paper that a middle eastern man who was part of a team of hijackers a few years back now. Has landed (excuse the pun) a job working at Heathrow airport. I vaguely remember the hijacking incident as the mob landed the plane at Stansted airport, about five or six years ago I think, claiming political asylum. Now that bloke works in the worlds busiest aiport .... It coud only happen in Britain right ? A hijacker of a plane who puts passengers lives at risk and demands political asylum, now gets a job at Heathrow.
When questioned by reporters, a spokesman said something along the lines of ...
' Such and such does have restricted access, to certain parts of the airport, and he doesnt have runway access or anything like that'
FU.CK IN HELL MATE HE DIDNT HAVE RUNWAY ACCESS OR ANY KIND OF ACCESS WHEN HE DECIDED TO HIJACK A 200 ton plane, Jesus wept. Have the nation been feeding on peanuts ? Is this why we have Monkeys running it.

But whats happening with all the young violence and knife stabbings today, its f.ucking terrible and the Government should bring National service back in. Obviously parents are loosing control, their rights have been taken away from slapping and disciplining the little runts, that the problem is only going to get worse NS would sort that out if parents and teachers alike are powerless to act.Just one more thing I want a rant about. My Nan has a cleaner come round her house, hes Polish. His wife and children are back in the Poland. And when him and me Nan got started talking about Britain, she was saying how bad its got, and isnt like it used to be (way before my days). He didnt agree, he thought it was a great country, why ? Because the British governement have not only allowed him to live and work here, but they also pay his wife child benefits back in Poland. Its a f.ucking joke, where Johnny foreigner thinks this countries beautiful and indigenous people think its s.hit.
Just quickly, customer service is s.hit and non-exsistant in Britain. And Enoch Powell was right with his predictions, no wonder I cant settle their any more.
