Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hi my dear friends!

What do you think about Sissoko, Xabi and Riise to Juventus?

I really hope that these three guys coming with us next year because are very great players.

I think the selling of Sissoko was a big error. Now for us is an idol and a very important player.

Next year we could call JUVERPOOL!!!  :D

Momo has been great for you guys and a lot of us saw that in him but he could hardly make a simple pass when he played for us so it was the best for all parties. Xabi is a good player that will thrive in the little slower Serie A and he is having a hard time winning a starting spot over either Gerrard or Mascherano. Riise I think lacks the tactical sense to make it in Juventus.

Not at all, mate.  It was a classic win-win situation.  He was well and truly surplus to requirements here but suits your team perfectly.  I'm glad he's adapted well to life in Torino and is enjoying his football again but, honestly, we haven't missed him.

If you sign Alonso for around 12 million pounds you really will be stealing a gem from us, though.  A few of our supporters have lost patience with Xabi but many of us still seem him as a quality player  and a model professional.  He will grace any side and he will make Juventus a stronger team, without question.  I hope it doesn't happen but if it does you will not be disappointed.

BTW, you're welcome to Riise.  Name your price. :D

I think with the signing of Sissoko you got a cracking player, but one who had lost confidence and perhaps really needed a change of club to get the best out of him.

Riise is another very good player who seems to have lost confidence and form. Hard working player who never gives up but who may need a change of club after two years struggling for his best form.

Alonso is really the pick of the bunch quality wise, has been struggling this season and we havent seen his best form for a couple of years but put the right players around him and he will no doubt shine.

We achieved our best points total with Sissoko and Alonso paired in midfield mate, they are a great combination when both are on form.

I just hope the sales are for footballing reason and not for financial or personal reasons.

On Sissoko, I did expect him doing well in Italy, a league in which there are less spaces in the midfield, midfield are crowded of players, and the ball recovery of Sissoko can be priceless.

I'd be surprised if the Italians told me he's an excellent passer of the ball though! I'm happy he's doing well.

Bit unfair that Sabre, its a bit like me saying I would be surprised if the Italians said Alonso was fast or mobile :D

I have a lot of respect for Juve and there is a lot of respect between both sets of fans, so I would wish Alonso and Risse good luck if they went there.

Alonso will really shine in Italy with more space and time.

If he has to go, it would be nice to see him link up with Momo again.

Agree with saint , alonso and sissoko were immense in their first seasons and riise was always consistent up until this season .

Well, i'm very happy for your review about the three.

We was think Sissoko was just a "spezza gambe" or "medianaccio" ("tough-midfielder") but we missed. He also has a good techincal.

Xabi is the player that we lack. A technical player like Pirlo for AC Milan.

Riise for me is a great player. The mistake with Chelsea was a case. He is much better than Molinaro.

Ordinarily you'd be lucky to get Riise for £15m, but we'd take £12m as we need the funds  :D
