I go to watch liverpool on regular occasions but i can't stand the sound of the announcer's voice. He sounds like he doesn't want to be there and has no enthusiasm.
Anywhere else you go they have a lot of enthusisasm for subs coming on and when the teams are being read out etc.

On the other hand we dont want an American WWF wrestling style announcer or excitable idiot either do we?

Am sure there is a good compromise. Some announcers around the country try to instill excitement in their crowds and its painful to listen to. Rather the lads on the field did that quite frankly.

I like his voice actually. But I miss him saying Michael Owen.

I think it's Graham Beecroft who's the announcer, but WHAT THE HELL HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF TEA IN CHINA?

Tell you what, let's play 'Let's get Ready to Rumble' by Ant and Dec when the lads come out of the tunnel and put on a catchy tune every time we score - like you get at Boro and Leicester et all. Or, lets stick to the old fashioned routine and let the Kop do the announcing like it always has hey?

George Sephton is the announcer, been doing it for many many years and he is excellent. Always plugs local unsigned bands and plays some excellent tunes (Arreviderci Roma anyone ?) at all times.

We DO NOT want manufactured excitement at our ground, if you want this at the game try the riverside or maybe the emirates (where they embarrasingly have the announcer say the first name and the crowd shout the second.

As Red37 said - get Out.
