Spend £100million now and then we dont need to spend much for the next 5 years, rather than £25/30million a year for 5 years.

Exactly thats what we need to do. Chelsea done that 1st time and got most of he quality to build on then. We are just buying here and there when we really do need to spend that much just in the summer alone. We probably need around 2 or 3 players but we need to make sure they are of 15 - 20Mil calibre.

And wheres this 100m coming from then?
By the looks of it Rafa`s going to have to sell before he can buy or sort out swap deals. Why do you thing Inter where asking after Gerrard, they was trying their luck cus they know we are skint.
We need to get the yanks out only then will Rafa have anything like 100m to spend untill then he wont even get what he and the team has earned.

It just needs a little creative accounting Rushie.

The two yanks borrowed £40million for transfers so theres a start. £10/15 million or so that we will get for reaching the semi's of the CL.

£10M Crouch
£5m  Carson
£5m  Riise
£5m  Pennant
£15m Alonso

That takes us to £90million, so we buy a couple of the players with low down payments and the rest depending on their progress like the mancs did with Anderson and Nani.

Easy mate  :D

Let's hope it's not creative accounting from the Risdale school of economics which went under you'll not be surprised to hear. Didn't they base their borrowing on being in the Champions League and then O'Dreary spent the money unwisely on players and they sucked.

And while the simple equation of borrowing £40m for transfers and getting £40m for reaching the CL semis may balance, is that all their borrowing? Where does the £Xm for the stadium come for or next season's transfers? Let's hope they do their math right, I hope they're not borrowing Risdale's calculator.

And I hope we do get £5m each for Riise, Carson and Pennant. I do fear we will ask too much for Carson and end up not getting a buyer, who could afford to pay £5m for Pennant who'd actually want him? Alonso may be the golden goose, if we get £10m for Crouch I'll be well pleased. Rid and for a profit, win-win situation!
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

They have ALREADY borrowed the £40million Owzat, so its a bit late to start worrying about it now mate  :D

No good. We need a partner for Torres, or at least one that can come from the bench. What happens if either Torres or Gerrard gets injured with that set up?

Here's mine:

                     Reina

Rafinha Carragher Agger Barry

            Mascherano

               Gerrard
  Pennant(?)                  Quaresma

The topic is about best 11 - you could ask your question about
anybody's best 11.

Ive read a few articles about Torres, saying you get the best out of him
when he doesn't have to partner someone up front.
Debateable like, but since we went 4-2-3-1 we've been playing our best
and most consistent football this season.

Just one question - is that Gareth Barry you have at left back?

Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

Reina

            (2 out of these 3)
Alves Carragher/Skrtel/Agger Bridge (Wayne)

          Mascherano Alonso

                    Gerrard
Mancini/SWP                   Babel

                     Torres

Forget Barry, we don't need another CM.  I'd rather pay 15M for Daniel Alves/SWP/Mancini.  I'll be a happy man if we sign any of those three.  We need to sign these type of players otherwise dream on about a prem league title.

Next year, the 11 we have will be European Champions again.

Destiny is calling us.

This year, with the anniversary of Munich, it's probably United's time.

Next year, is 25 years since Rome 1984

It'll be Liverpool vs AC Milan Part III

LFC victory.

Yes, that is Gareth Barry at left back. He's not a true central mid as most people like to think.

And yes, you could ask the question of anyone's team, but this team I selected is realistic (perhaps Quaresma is dreaming a little) but we do need a partner for Torres regardless of what these so called articles say. We need depth in an event of any injury.
