owen could be off and were not gonna be swappin him for cash + morientes/eto'o. this means that the most likely scenario is a money deal. if this happens, would we be able to get thru the season with baros, cisse and pongolle...

no chance. we need four quality strikers to compete. say baros gets another serious injury early on. is pongolle ready to play as first choice for the majority of the season?

Need 4 strikers. But have to remember that kewell can double up as striker too.

Kewell isn't good as a striker, he had a horrible season in his regular position last year I don't think he would do us any good as a striker.

well someones posted a thread making the point that diouf's been given a squad number meaning that rafa may have plans for him yet

The only reason that Diouf has a squad number is because he hasn't left yet, didn't Rafa say that Diouf wasn't in his plans.

well he wasn't gonna be given a squad no. and there are teams trying to sign him. i think he was given one because of the possibility of owens departure which could lead to us needing to keep diouf. i think diouf will see out his contract and then be off cos its either that or take a wage cut.
