Best of luck Harry. Despite getting the sack, you're still better than Babel imo.
Comparing a 29 year old indivigual with a 21 year old in his first season in a new league? How many goals did kewell score in his first season at anfield? Did he even come close to babel's tally? Where was kewell when he was 21?
Kewell scored 11 in his first season, Babel is on 10 at present.
At 21, he was scoring goals and beginning to establish himself as a very promising young talent.
Just the facts.
He was a fantsatic player at Leeds, and had a decent first season with us, and a decent half season in 05/06. A quality player ruined by injuries, and seemingly a lack of desire. He's a tw@t for rejecting a new contract.

an incredible feat of prophecy, kazza. i'm utterly flabbergasted.

they guy has had injuries, I suppose he is expected to play during his injuries to keep the kewell haters happy. Give him break, he signed the contract and is entitled to him salary, are we now suggesting he should have refused his wages?
anyway good luck to him wherever he goes, i am sure without his injuries he could have done great things for us
Number 9 wrote:Its the fact he turned down a chance to remain at LFC because he was offered a lower rate of pay that grinds not because he was always injured!
Add that to the fact his agent has said that Kewell has never been fitter or happier than at present(great timing just as his contratct expires) does not look good for the player!
Hes has done practically nothing for the club but been paid in full.If he had any feelings or passion for the club he would accepted a paycut and remain at least to pay back the beleif that has been put in him, which in my opinion he never deserved!
Why should LFC take a chance and offer him another contract on £60k a week, hes not worth the chance.
He'd probably play one game and limp off holding his fan.ny anyway!
The way i see it is he has been a waste of time and effort and im livid because for what we spent on the transfer and wages on a waster we could have had a decent player!
His refusal to accept another chance on lesser money or not proves he is never an LFC player and has the wrong mentality.
He is walking off and has shown no gratitude atal, many clubs would have got rid ages ago.
Any club that signs the kunt need their heads looked at!

You are missing the point mate!

These same people complain that we don't have enough money yet want to keep people on our pay role to sit in the stands.
how about you get your heads out your arses and think that Harry Kewell wants first team football. He's looking for a place in the Austriallia squad for the 2010 world cup if they qualify. Most internationals are picked if they're playing regurlar club football, Kewell staying at Liverpool wouldn't be playing to often. Also those whinging about him taking a pay cut, I can't honestly see him picking up 60 grand a week anywhere else, so he'll be taking a pay cut anyway. For me he's not refusing to play for Liverpool because of the pay cut, he wants first team football and at Liverpool he is no longer guarenteed that.
good luck to him in the future.

That won't bother Harry - as long as he's getting paid

Bull.John or Bill sorry!

If there is one thing Harry Kewell has in abundance its arrogance and way too much self importance.Whats wrong with staying and fighting for a place in the team, thats what footballers do these days.
And double bull.Bill,Harry Kewell (if not nursing an injury) will ALWAYS get his place in the Australian national team. They are hardly jampacked with superstar footballers lad!
Hes off for more money end of story!
I cant for the life of me understand any LFC supporter defending him and his actions this week. Its safe to say Harry Kewell values his services at a lot more than they are worth.
I hope no decent team offer him a deal and he ends up playing for some shitty team elsewhere winning f.uck all!
I'd love to know what the other players think of him after his refusal of contract!
