Agree as well. Owen should just sign an extension or whatever and use this season to proof himself again. By then, other teams will come calling. I guess this year Real will get Veira. So, its not a big deal if they don't get Owen.

We have left it far too late yet again. This should have been sorted over a year ago. Madrid dont have the finance to buy everyone at present, but they know every player wants to play for them. They just wait for the right time and take them. As they have done here :Oo:

He can leave next season, I just want to see if we can win this season with Owen along with Cisse.

How on earth have LFC made contract talks last this long? Surely if the two parties were miles apart, this would've been realised ages ago? If we aren't willing to accommodate what he's looking for, we could have bought ourselves an extra year to transfer list him and shop around for a replacement.

However this gets resolved, it really does make LFC look pretty amateurish in the negotiations stakes. You'd think we'd have learned something after the McManaman affair.

So I imagine that Rafa will be getting another striker. Any ideas who? I'm hoping its not Mista - not a bad player, but I don't rate him highly enough to take Owen's place. With players like Kezman going cheap, who knows whats up Rafa sleeve.
