I am sure all the Liverpool fans (as opposed to supporters) will be all over the kits so they can wear them when we win and promptly take them off when we don't, that alone bothers me but the fact that this same group of people will seemingly thwart our efforts (petition signed) is even worse.

I dont understand your post sorry

you say you are buying the home and away kit without a doubt cause they both look smart and the team will look boss so why have you signed the petition .

The petition is against buying merchandise especialy the new kits. or have i read your post wrong

Yeah I was kind of all over the place on that one, just saying I really like the home and away kits, and once the yankees are gone I will happily purchase the insane canadian mark up! Thats the gist of what I was trying to say, and also that in north america there are more "fans" then supporters so all the retailers around here will probably already sell out because of it.

The new Home kit is just as hideous as the Reebok ones. I am however considering the new gray away top. Being an American, I don't think I should feel too guilty about buying it, after all I've already seen the way corporate America works.

Is anyone else missing the away kit from last season? I loved that yellow shirt.

Lets say every supporter, in protest of the americans in control decide not to buy any merchandise. A loss for the club through retail however you still have the season ticket holders and match day tickets. So to compensate for the loss through retail, tickets prices go up. The supporters then decide to boycott matches. To ensure that the two do not make any profit every supporter cancels sky, setanta whatever, so that they do not recieve as much income from any tv deals. Now to compensate for there loss they have no choice, they are too stubborn to give in so wage cuts and sales are to compensate for there loss, out go rafa, gerrard, mascherano, babel, carragher, alonso, reina. The club now for the following season have no money to buy top quality players and are struggling to compete with the newly promoted teams and are promptly relegated. Now the losses are so severe they are in administration and end up in league 2. Now the owners decide enough is enough and decide to sell, however DIC are no longer interested. They want to invest in a premiership club.

At the moment there is a disagreement between the owners but the club is still first and rafa is ensuring that the club is coming first. If you start with the "Im not lining there pockets" attitude then surely you have to go all the way? rip up your ticket, cancel sky, and dont drink carlsberg !

Of course it makes sense.  The americans know they are not wanted, the supporters have made it perfectly clear but if anyone thinks thats going to be enough for them to walk out and leave the club for someone else then they are seriously deluding themselves. My point was that by refusing to buy merchandise to do with lfc isnt going to hurt them, its going to hurt the club. If the worst came then they have other businesses to fall back on, they will survive. At the moment money is going into the club, players have been bought, new contracts offered and signed, so even though were not happy with them being in control on the pitch the team havent really suffered. When it comes to rafa leaving, or players not happy those stories are from the press, not from the chairmen. By all means dont buy the merchandise, but it is not their pockets your hurting.

Forget about all this "boycott" :censored:.

Go ahead and buy the kits if you can afford them and want them.

Tom and George together own 4 sports teams. 2 very strong hockey teams, Liverpool, and a baseball team. I do doubt that negative attitudes towards them isn't going to bother them too much. I do however believe that a much more happy fan base reward Rafa with more money to spend. It's a stupid theory, but why wouldn't you reward someone who's supporting you?

Well im off to Madrid Saturday and got asked to bring a new Liverpool Shirt out for someone. I told them sorry no can do and explained the reasons why.

Now the people im visiting are football people and they fully supported my decision in boycotting all merchandise until these two are gone. These are not Liverpool fans and they agree with me on this . What i cant understand is you have Liverpool fans who are gloating over buying the shirt.

Anyway its a good job im not taking one cause i would of had Torres put on the Back just to spite them. They hate him there well at Real they do

i thought the new shirt looked good on the players. It's not Adidas's fault, it's not Rafa's fault either so I for one will buy the new shirt - to support the club I love.

I think the red one is really pretty... and the silver one and green one are good...

here in Argentina is still avaible the old one... last Saturday I tried to buy the red one... but it is really expensive for me $199, it's like 50 euros...

But sooner or later i'll buy it! because it's beautiful!

By the way... Nanni Red, your sign it's really funny... In argentina we called Mascherano Octupus (you know why :D ) or "jefecito" (little Boss)

Anyone have any pictures of this rumoured grey away jersey? Nothing official has been mentioned about the away jersey yet, just wondering where all the rumours are coming from about it.
