FWIW im gutted,i feel really bad!
We are out of the C/L but we stood as we fell,as a team,as one!

Its no ones fault but LFCs fault
Its not Rafs fault
Its not Riises fault.
Its LFCs fault.

Thats OK,LFC will win more and they will win how they fail..TOGETHER,like we won so many times before and failed!

If anyone blames Rafa or Riise im really gonna crack! :nod

i for one have it real bad tomo coz i live in london and told every chelsea fan we would win tonight.
but theres nothing we can do about it apart from bounce back stronger next year.
we had a couple of decisions that maybe dint go our way but complaining about them isn't the liverpool way.
we all know deep down that we are better then any team on our day!

Good post mate..

Lose with dignity!

Personally gutted, but having said that after three attempts they had to do us sometime!

4 if you include the FA Cup Semi Final  :D

With such financial superiorty and a plethora of talented players it had to give sooner or later.

We actually played our best football tonight than in any of our previous encounters. The difference was that Chelsea actually played far better than they have done previoiusly in Europe against us.

The crucial spell for me was just after HT in both legs. We were definitly on top and had several chances to push on both at Anfield and at Stamford Bridge but Cech proved to be the best player over the 2 legs for them.

A word about Lampard ............ A quality performance from him tonight after his recent loss. Anyone with an ounce of humanity and who have lost loved ones surely must have appreciated how difficult it must have been for the lad.

Just for a laugh, did anyone catch who it was that got bundled over in the dug out when Alonso (not sure) went to grab the ball and pushed someone away? Was it Grant? I'd love to see it from another angle. And speaking of that fat slug, his celebrating at the end was sickening as f*ck. What a prune of a manager to do something like that. Getting on your knees as if Jesus just walked into Stamford Bridge. Plonker!

You got a point lad we didnt play well, loose passes all over the shop. That said the game and the conditions didnt really lend it self to free flowing football and they maybe made just as many silly mistakes.
It came down to the ref/linesman imo, their first goal was offside an they got a pen while when sami was brought down it was waved away, add to that a last second OG in the first game and its clear they got all the brakes. LUCKY C>NTS, NOW BEAT THE SCUM.

"We thought we could go on to win the game after Fernando Torres scored because we had two or three chances but everything changed with the penalty.

"This time was not for us but I will go home knowing that we played well and gave everything.

"If we continue the way we have, we will bring titles to Liverpool. This is a young team and today we showed character. We played well and now we need to continue improving."

I reckon he has got a point. :lookaround

Bloody right he has :D

No he hasnt. The team played well when we was behind. Why couldnt they play when the first whistle went? Its because we were not playing well which is why we lost. Is this how the future lies for the mighty reds? Have to go 1-0 down to a top 3 team before we decide to put in a performance?  At anfield always the 12th man helps, but away from home we have to go behind before the finger is pulled out?

The twelfh man was there tonight Kharhaz we sang our :censored: hearts out couldnt have done anymore mate. we went through the full song book . Put the Plazzy flag waving lot to shame

Question: What happened in the first half??

We didnt compete, our passing and first touch was terrible, we allowed them to dominate.

Its like we had no will, no rocket up the @ss to take the game to them. We were horrible.

Yet Rafa did nothing at half time as if he was satisfied? If we've played Crouchie in a conventional 4-4-2 cant help but feel our first half would have been better which could have turned the course of the game.

I'm not convinced this 4-2-1-1 whenever it is, works against class sides. Stevie is not a striker like Drogba or Rooney say - or even Anelka, so why do we pretend he is?

If we bought Drogba, this lone striker cr@p would go out of the window the same day. If we played 4-4-2 when we had killers like Kenny and Rushie in the same team, why would we play a lone striker?

If Gentleman Bob was amongst us and we asked his opinion of playing a lone striker with a midfielder behind him in the european cup semi final when we NEEDED to score to win, would he think it wise or be surprised the opponents scored more than we did?

It doesnt make sense to me and it showed today as it did against ManUtd and Arsenal.

Plastic? if buts and maybes?

Seriously watch the match again when you have taken it in and then say im wrong. How can they promise the performance of a lifetime and fail to deliver. The first half was appalling. There is no doubt we couldnt do the basics but when we went behind we started to play. We then got the equaliser and gained the upper hand, did we press on for the second? no, we sat back. We allowed them back into it. Call me plastic, heres one for you, ignorant?

LOL

What a c0ck. His expression when Steve walked away was priceless.

Grant is a con man. He got down on his knees at the end of the game, not because he thought God was talking to him and that he was the new special one, but because Fernando Torres walked past him.
