A striker is also needed, all this confusion about crouch not playing for any given reason needs to stop, i like crouch but i can see why he isnt played everyweek.

Maybe you could enlighten us? He scores goals, as a striker should. Many were praying earlier for crouch to be brought on.

He score's goals i know, i'm not saying he doesn't get played because he's rubbish, it's just Crouchie's play doesn't really fit into the lone role formation we've used through out the second half of the season. In my opinion he's a class player, but in all honesty if he's not going to be played, then his value's going to go down isnt it. I'm not sure what Crouchie has to do to get a place in the starting 11, but i can't see Rafa dropping Torres for him. Perhap's a partnership between the two of them should have been merged in the earlier stages of the season?

Fuck me! Don't think much of Jamie Oliver's new recipe. Suppose that'll be in the frozen food section of Sainsbury's next week.  :D

Seriously though, all of those saying they want the mancs to win need to take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror tonight and ask themselves are they really true Liverpool fans. Cos if they really are true Liverpool fans then they should all be expressing something similar (but maybe not as extreme  :D ) as what Leon has in his post.

We may not have been good enough to knock the chavs out but seeing them tw.at that ugly cnut Neville's team in the biggest final of the season will bring a small smile to my face come the end of the season.

On a serious note though, what do we need? I hear Hicks is in the dressing room after the match. We must change our strikeforce and look for wingers with class. Crouch has to go because we just ain't utilising him. Good money makes good sense. Voronin? No more said.

What does Benitez need to change? I feel he needs a number 2!  Needs to decide if Gerrard is central or a in the hole player. What to do with Kuyt. Does he bring Babbel up front with torres. Does he start to phase carra out and get the agger/skrtel partnership going? i know he hasn't been able to pair them yet, but ultimately i feel carra will become stand in and maybe go fullback.  Does Barry come into midfield or his he buying him (aledgedly) to replace riise.

Where are his priorities? I would like us to use domestic cups for reserves and fringe players. That means we only need to concentrate on league and cl. I want a tilt at the league first. The cl comes when you win prem get more money and recognition and then go again.

I must admit that i dont feel so angry or sad purely because i would rather go out now than lose to them in final. Also, i've always hated fat frank. But i must admit that the lad deserves everything he gets for his performance tonight. A top player, but also a great human. Can't believe i've written that but go on frank and stuff them mwank :censored:.

no other words. gutted.

not once were we in front. dont see why crouch was left on the bench. pennant on the wing, babel to run at them.. but imo crouch would have been more likely to get us a goal out of the entire subs bench.

sod the lone stiker formation as mentioned above.... when you're chasing the game... why play one upfront... why not go with a second striker?

thouroughly gutted and cant quite believe it at the mo

Mascherano told Liverpoolfc.tv:

"It is very painful. We showed character and personality, so it's difficult to take because we played well and lost.

"We played at Anfield and the result was not so good, but here at Stamford Bridge we gave everything. We couldn't have done more.

"We thought we could go on to win the game after Fernando Torres scored because we had two or three chances but everything changed with the penalty.

"This time was not for us but I will go home knowing that we played well and gave everything.

"If we continue the way we have, we will bring titles to Liverpool. This is a young team and today we showed character. We played well and now we need to continue improving."

I reckon he has got a point. :lookaround

Chelsea for the CL. This has probably been the "easiest" semi final defeat I've ever had to endure as as bad as it feels now, losing to the Mancs in the final would be suicide enducing.

My mates just said the same thing on the phone. The thought of them winning the CL is bad enough, beating us in the final as well would be to much to bare.

No he hasnt. The team played well when we was behind. Why couldnt they play when the first whistle went? Its because we were not playing well which is why we lost. Is this how the future lies for the mighty reds? Have to go 1-0 down to a top 3 team before we decide to put in a performance?  At anfield always the 12th man helps, but away from home we have to go behind before the finger is pulled out?

There it is, the day a noble supporter of the mighty reds became a bitter. Watch the match again sonny then say mascha is right.

i for one have it real bad tomo coz i live in london and told every chelsea fan we would win tonight.
but theres nothing we can do about it apart from bounce back stronger next year.
we had a couple of decisions that maybe dint go our way but complaining about them isn't the liverpool way.
we all know deep down that we are better then any team on our day!

Just got back Im gutted of course i am but in a way i feel a big wieghts been lifted of my shoulders possible at the thought of loosing to the Mancs and the trouble that was defo gonna happen out there,
I feel physicaly drained though the highs and lows of that game unbelievable. The turning point in the game for me was when Skrtel went off . He had Drogbars telephone number, But sayin that Carragher was outstanding our best player by a mile.

Fantastic goal by Babel and we defo should of had a pen, but we lost this semi from mistakes created by us , Riise own goal and then givfing them a pen.

Other than that we gave our all tonight and i for one are proud of them.

Now theres nothing to play for our priority must now seriously focus on getting Rid of Teedle dum and Tweedle dee. Im hoping now where out hell :censored: off
