You joined the forum just to say that?

Anyway, I partly agree. Riise had a shocker in both legs, and ultimately his error's cost us. Their away goal (or his own goal) changed the entire dynamic of the second leg. We'd have gone trough but for that.

There really is no consolation this time.We got beat, aye. But as a spectacle for a final, I really don't have any preference as to who I want to see win it. It's an awful, awful scenario. The worst possible. Baring that some kind of natural disaster happens, or the sky turns red and the end of days comes that is said in the book of Revelations, otherwise I can't help but feel sick to my stomach that one of these two c*nt of a teams will end up winning the big one. I'll only watch that final if someone puts a gun to my head. If that does happen, and I have to pick a side to cheer on to beat one of my two least favorite teams on the planet, then I'll have to switch my brain and and conclude that for purely footballing reasons, I'd want the Mancs to win. But then again, I hate the c*nts more than Chelsea so I'd want them to win. I guess my captor would have to let that hammer fall.

I would rather see chelsea win it mate, I just can't stand manchester winning it.

It's a hard one. I'd need a serious boot in the bollox first before deciding.

I seriously cannot wait until the final whistle has gone once and for all this season. I want it to be over so fast right now, although I'm not looking forward to the summer either. We need 3 stunning players (and I emphasize stunning quality) to come in and take us forward.

It is a hard one, the reason i want chelsea to win it just to shut the hell up of my mates in the group, I have 7 of them manc scums and Im the only Liverpool fan.

Yes we need quality players, no more rubbish and no more improving the squad, lets improve our first team.

Im sorry, but arbeloa and riise are not up to it, need to go.

Gutted with the result.  No point in thinking about it to much (only get depressed if I do).

Anyway, now we need to concentrate on next season and bringing in good quality players.

Hope Cheaski do the Mwanckers and Arsenal take the EPL.

1. Skrtel injury.
Very big impact on the game. Hyypia is not good enough and fast enough for these kind of games. We conceded only minutes after Skrtels injury.

2. Hyypia
Made a terrible terrible tackle. The ref was just waiting for an excuse to award a penalty and Hyypia made it easy for him. Also his passing and overall contribution was way way way off the standard required in a CL semi final. His days are long numbered.

3. Carra
Is he good enough for Liverpool? Great committment and a scouser through and through. But that don't make him a LFC solid. At fault on two goals today. Clearly destroyed the offside trap on 3-1 and let the team down on 1-0 (together with a unbelieavably horrible Hyypia). Terrible passing and creativity.

4. Rafa
Made clear errors with the substitution of Torres and with allowing Pennant to play and Kuyt to finish. Kuyt was no threath. Pennent has never produced anything against quality opposition and Torres should always play unless he has two broken legs.

5. Referee
Overall very good. Could have awarded a penalty for LFC. Should have added more time and given more yellow cards to Chelsea. Why not give a penalty for the foul on Hyypia. Suspicion of offside on Chelsea goal nr.1 .

Ratings

Reina    7

Arbeloa   6
Carra 5
Skrtel 7
Riise 5

Kuyt  6
Alonso  8
Masch 8
Gerrard 7
Benayoun 6

Torres 8

Subs:
Hyypia 3
Babel 8
Pennant 2

The media and some so called fans will say that Rafa lost the plot. From this post, it is clear you have. Your opinion of Carragher is not just retarded, but it's downright blasphemous. Certainly one that I wouldn't expect from ANY LFC fan, if that is you are one. With a post like that, I'd question it.

As for Rafa's sub. Well, if Babel's goal had have been the decider and took us trough, everyone would be saying how it would have been a genius sub. As it turned out, it was the right choice. Afterall, if you sub is brought on to score, which Babel did, then that's a good sub. Fact. Torres is not immune to being subbed. Other than his goal, he didn't have the best of games.

Liverpool as a team is very strong. But some players are getting too old. A defensive quality injection is needed imho.

Huh?? Hyypia is getting on but he is an exception, scraping the barrel are we not?

Touche ! I can't believe that there are LFC fans out there who want the Mancs to win !  ???

I know the Evertonians bang on about history and knowing it but a few on here could do with a history lesson when it comes to knowing who our real rivals are.

Chelsea are simply a recent problem but once Ambramovich goes to prison for his doddgy dealings in the Ukraine over all that oil he stole , Chelsea will make Leeds look like a well run club.

United to win ............... WTF is football coming to ! :oh:

Rafa's change wasn't a bad one but the timing was a little off. It's no secret Torres isn't the best penalty taker and Babel has a better record with them. I think thats the reason why the sub was made. I don't think Rafa's to blame. There was logic in all of his decisions and again we lost on luck. Hyypia deserved a what looked like a StoneWaller and Skrtl who in the early signs looked to have the beating of Drogba suffered an injury. No one's to blame in my opinion. Well done lads for providing an entertaining season and for shrugging away the of field antics when on the pitch. Football's a cruel game, we spend all year watching the team and for that it gets disregarded within one night. Thats football though, and i guess it's why we love it.

I'm confident that with a few good signing's we can have a better push next seaon, looking forward to the pre-seaon and hope we dont suffer any injuries when the lads are out with there national sides. It's not the end of the world, after all we support the best team in the world!

Thanks for another season lads!

top post dude :)

so who u think is out there to buy to counter the players from manure and scumsea ??

Well i think we need another striker and some one who can hug the  the white lines out wide for 90 minutes, someone who isn't afraid to beat the first man and then cut in to set a goal or score a goal. Pennant's the closest thing we have to that and his form isnt all that consistant.

It's rumoured that, that man could be Mancini (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alessandro ... no_Mancini)
who can certainly score goals but at 27 i don't think he's raw-enough and would proberly be a 1/2 season player. Bernd Schneider is also another top class player who i'd love to see wearing red but again his age is against him. Now ive been a massive fan off Ricardo Quaresma for years now and every year theres loads of rumour's about him, i remember one about him drinking at starbuck's in liverpool 5 hour's before the transfer deadline. His age again isnt too young but i player worth buying in my opinion. There are more but i cant really think off the top of my head. Messi's another player far'fetched i know but he looked dejected at Barca and this seaon surely would have made him think about his future.

A striker is also needed, all this confusion about crouch not playing for any given reason needs to stop, i like crouch but i can see why he isnt played everyweek. Sell him for a good price, shame to see him go i know. Voronin's another player who i thought looked good in pre-seaon but never really took off. Neri Cardozo would be a brilliant signing he's young, skillfull and has mean shot. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has expressed he's looking to move, Liverpool should snap him up before Arsenal/Chelsea do.

I would rather have by balls cut off with rusty scissors and served up to me in a delicate white wine sauce on a bed of dog sh.it with sauteed ar.se hairs and deep fried bird droppings than see united win a fuc.king raffle.

Drowning or hanging?
Stabbed or shot?
Electrocution or overdose?
Mancs or Chelsea?

All tough choices...

My first post, (gulp) could be my last.  :Oo:

As always, there is always next season but f**k it hurts to lose like this!
