The problem is sometimes you get people  who will wear the shirt just for show . Yeah look at me im a Liverpool fan. thats the problem these people dont understand by not buying the merchandise the other two wont make a penny off it.

Everyone who wants these two out of our club should do the same and sign the petition. Theyll soon :censored: off when theres no money coming to them

So I designed a better one.

This should be featured on the shirt:

That would look class. It would probably suit the Gray/Silver away shirt more, though.

I like the gray one. Reminds me of the Candy strip about 20 years ago. Shame I won't be buying any of them.

And I agree: that home one looks dire. Our current one looks way better.

Edit -  on second thought, after looking at Steve waring it on the main site, it actually does look quiet neat.

A petition has been started on the issue of boycotting sales of the new kit.

The petition reads

To:  The Liverpool Football Club Board, and Potential Financial Backers of Tom Hicks

We, the loyal supporters of Liverpool Football Club, have had enough of the boardroom saga for control of our club. We have staged protests and we have made banners, but the time has now come to take our efforts to the next level.

As we were made aware by the club this week, Adidas and Liverpool plan to unveil the new 2008/2010 kit next Friday, April 25, 2008. The undersigned of this petition have agreed to boycott this item, and refuse to purchase it until Tom Hicks and George Gillett are out of our club. We understand that the loss of potential millions of pounds will hurt the club in the short-run, but it is also true that this will hurt the current owners in the only place that matters to them – their wallets. We will always support our team, but until Tom Hicks and George Gillett are out of club, we will not purchase this item.

We refuse to accept the role of being a money-maker for Tom Hicks and George Gillett’s entertainment businesses. We refuse to accept the debt placed on our club despite promises to the contrary. We refuse to accept the owners’ ineptitude and incompetence regarding our new stadium. We refuse to accept the spin coming from Tom Hicks' PR department. We refuse to accept the disgraceful public image these two have given our club in the global press. And lastly, we refuse to accept Tom Hicks and George Gillett as custodians of our storied, and beloved club.

You can sign the petition and show your feelings here.

thanks for the link igor mate, i have just signed it my number
is 1453 & added comments aswell! come on everyone
get signing & let your true feelings be known! stand up
& be counted, untill the yank b@stards are gone i won"t
part with a single hard earnt penny for any new kit etc
& my 14 year old son is grown up enough to not only
accept it, but also said he wouldn"t want to part with
his hard earned paper round money also, untill they have
gone! (i was bloody proud of him, when he said that)

it may effect the club in the short term finacially, but
unlike hicks & gillett i have & always will love this
football club, & this club will survive long after they have
gone! the sooner the better, then hopefully we will
have investment from someone who actually care"s
about the club, fans & everything connected with
our beloved club.

If the future looks bleak now with these guys in control can you imagine what could happen?

Lets say every supporter, in protest of the americans in control decide not to buy any merchandise. A loss for the club through retail however you still have the season ticket holders and match day tickets. So to compensate for the loss through retail, tickets prices go up. The supporters then decide to boycott matches. To ensure that the two do not make any profit every supporter cancels sky, setanta whatever, so that they do not recieve as much income from any tv deals. Now to compensate for there loss they have no choice, they are too stubborn to give in so wage cuts and sales are to compensate for there loss, out go rafa, gerrard, mascherano, babel, carragher, alonso, reina. The club now for the following season have no money to buy top quality players and are struggling to compete with the newly promoted teams and are promptly relegated. Now the losses are so severe they are in administration and end up in league 2. Now the owners decide enough is enough and decide to sell, however DIC are no longer interested. They want to invest in a premiership club.

At the moment there is a disagreement between the owners but the club is still first and rafa is ensuring that the club is coming first. If you start with the "Im not lining there pockets" attitude then surely you have to go all the way? rip up your ticket, cancel sky, and dont drink carlsberg !

What do you think will happen to service the debt on the club ? How do you think they will pay for the proported intrest payments of £47 million per annum once they get the extra £300 million loan for the building of the phantom stadium . If we hit them in there pockets ,the banks will not loan them anymore money and they will have to sell. That's the idea behind the boycott .

This last part of your post is correct ,and will come to pass if they don't sell.

Manhattan noticed that the Indian Premier League flew in cheerleaders from the US.

That's what Hicks needs to do. Put some Dallas Cowgirls in red outfits and get them over to Anfield.

I live in Canada where I can assure you any money Hicks would have gotten for kit sales, has already been received, I am buying the home and away kit without a doubt, both look smart and I am confident we will look boss on the field.

I am sure all the Liverpool fans (as opposed to supporters) will be all over the kits so they can wear them when we win and promptly take them off when we don't, that alone bothers me but the fact that this same group of people will seemingly thwart our efforts (petition signed) is even worse.
