FULHAM VS LIVERPOOL (Sat 19th April 3pm K.O.) - Discussion and team speculation etc here

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Cool Hand Luke » Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:02 pm

I think Chelsea will beat Everton tonight so I think we can afford to save most our team for the Champions League game.

Considering Chelsea will have Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday to prepare and we will only have Sunday and Monday, I would leave most our players at home.

Come Thursday night we should be 5 points clear of Everton with a game in hand with Everton only having 3 games left to play. So I think it is well worth saving players for Chelsea.

                         Reina

Finnan     Carragher     Skrtel     Insua

Benayoun   Lucas        Plessi      Riise

               Voronin      Crouch

Subs

Nemeth
El Zhar
Spearing
Arbeloa
Itandje

If Everton don’t beat Chelsea tonight we would be absolutely crazy not to leave out a large chunk of the players that will be starting against Chelsea. We only have 2 days to recover for the Chelsea game where as they have 4.

Chelsea are still winning 0-1 so I would agree with CHL and go for a weak team (maybe not quite as weak as CHL's :D  )

We can only win one thing this season and we have to put everything into it.

Might want to add another player in there, maybe Benayoun?

A few players will be rested for this id imagine. Should be a comforable win normally but Fulham are fighting to stay up and they must win, so they wont roll over and die. 2-0 us.

         Reina
Finnan  Arbeloa Skrtel Insua

Benayoun Plessis Lucas Riise

       Kuyt     Crouch

i can't wait for my earlier prediction to be wrong so some smart arse, one in particular to jump at the chance and ask "is this evidence of your wealth of football knowledge"
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

We caused Arsenal a lot of problems with 8 reserves in the team so I think that we can do the same to Fulham.

torres must play
i want him to break ruud's record
and ruud had an amazing impact on english soccer so thats some record
and at this rate by the start of the 2011/12 season, GBJH will have to admit owen isnt anywhere as good as Torres :D

We can only win one thing this season and we have to put everything into it.

We put out a "weakened team" at the Emirates and Rafa picked up his first away point against the goners. Rafa has won only once at Fulham, oddly enough we've never drawn with them.

Fulham (a) P3 W1 D0 L2 F4 A5

Not a great record against not a great team. But as the bitters lost last night, and a team that loses ten games in a season does not deserve to finish fourth, they need to win two out of their last three just to get ahead of us and we need five points to be absolutely sure - as it stands. I wouldn't be too surprised if the bitters drop more points and fail to make it to what we're on now, they've got the goners away and are not in great form.

Bitters lost and with only 3 games to go , expect a very weakned team like that against arsenal , my fantasy premier league team is going to suffer i've got both torres and gerrard in the 11 :D
