"In this situation rotation is maybe good". Sounds like he's bang into a bit of styling doesn't it?  :D

Would like this team (yeah alonso as a CB....i think he could do a job there).

                     Reina
  Finnan    Alonso   Skertel   Riise
               Lucas   Benayoun
       Pennant                   Kewell
                      Voronin
                       Crouch

agreed i rather lose this 1 or 2-0 and win 1 or 2-0 on tuesday any time ! think arsenal are thinking the same deep down they know they aint gonna win the prem.

Is Kewell available??

Surely if he is fit and doesn't play in this one, he'll never play for the Reds again.

I'd love to see him get a game.

van persie has picked up a knock and yes wenger will deffo not risk him , i don't see adebayor playing also , maybe walcott and bendter uptop

If Arsense plays the kids as well, this squad should be able to rescue a point, if not, then hopefully they can run them knackered, or kick them to death.  I am very worried that our lead for 4th will fall to only 2 points with Everton playing Derby this weekend, but you HAVE to play for the trophies, because at the end of the day, those are the tangible things that can be counted, and we looked VERY tired and worn from the first leg, and not conceeding with be the top priority at Anfield because that ensures victory.

yes, there will be a good amount of players who played on wednesday who will be fit for tomorrow, but that means little if playing them twice would rule them unfit for the home tie. And players like Insua and Nemeth have certainly earned their call-ups.

Thank god u are not the manager

If rafa plays that squad , i'll cut off my di.ck adn eat it
Why would you play san jose , insua plesis and nemeth in such a high profile game when they all cept insua have zero experience at premier league footie?

i think they are good players with alot of potential

IF rafa is going to play a weakened side and rest the big guns i would rather see nemeth insua in the team then the likes of voronin and riise

i think its a good shout

I'd go with players who are likely to play in remaining Premiership fixtures, now is not the time to give the youth team a run out. The bitters aren't out of sight, S@int we cannot be safe if we win the next two games because the bitters will be maximum 11 points behind and with four games left. And if Voronin, Crouch, Riise, Pennant etc are to be on the bench on Tuesday it's better they've a (part) game under their belt. There's no way we'd have Nemeth, San Jose etc on the bench then so letting them get stuffed by Arsenal serves no purpose.

I think too many people on here are happy to write off any prospect of the points, we aren't safe and while we may want to rest the key players we still need to have a competitive XI on the pitch that COULD secure a point or possibly all three. We have other tough games to come, we may need something like 9-12 points and with games running out. If the bitters beat Derby that's the gap down to two points and we're in a fight again, I suspect it will be anyway, but there's no point conceding the gap without at least giving it a go.

Time for the likes of Crouch to stake a claim in the team.Id go for this team

.........................Reina................................

Arbeloa..........Cara..........Skrtel...................Riise

Pennant..........Alonso.............Lucas..............Babel

......................Crouch...........Voronin..................

Bench:Martin, Benayoun, Fabio, Steven, Kuyt

Decent enough to get us a draw.

Have to disagree with you there mate. Think the midfield you've chosen has the defensive consistency of wet cardboard and the attack is about as menacing as those plastic spoons you get with a chinese takeaway.

We'll lose if Rafa fields that team,

Play Aurelio for Babel, Gerrard for Lucas and Torres for Voronin and we could win it.

i think gerrard wont be in the starting line up....
rafa will want him to get 100% fit for next tuesday

2 hours before kick off....
the line up will still be anyone guess...

if everybody plays their roles there is no reason we could muster all the points :)
