I bet if Madrid had won many of the bluffers on this site would say they think they'll win it, just because a club is famous doesn't mean the team is good.

Hopefully if we beat INter Milan we'll go into the side of the draw with Fenerbache,Schalke and Roma as they are three poor teams.

If the four English teams are kept apart we could have an all English semi-final. I think it would be terrible for the tournament though.

The power of club football is defo with England.

I don't want us to draw Roma if we go through.  Loosing 7-1 to Man U has really screwed up their rep. but they are a really good team this year.  They kicked the :censored: out of Real while playing some really good football.  Shalke would be nice though.

As I've been saying all along, I really just want to avoid english opposition for as long as possible (first and foremost the mancs). Rafa is perfect at setting up the team for european opponents, so I wouldn't fear any of them (though I would of course rather play Schalke than Barca for example).

ITV has won the UK live TV rights to the last remaining Uefa Champions League games in a deal thought to be worth around £55m a year.

The deal, which covers the three-year period from 2009 to 2012, is critical for ITV's sports programming portfolio.

Earlier today it emerged that the broadcaster had ditched live Formula One coverage two years before the contract was due to expire, allowing the BBC to take back the rights after a 12-year gap.

ITV was thought to have ditched Formula One partly in order to ensure it had the funds to secure the Champions League deal.

From August next year, ITV will broadcast the first pick of Wednesday night games throughout the tournament, including the final and Uefa Super Cup final.

ITV, which has held Uefa Champions League rights since the tournament's inception in 1992, will broadcast 18 games per season over the course of the new three year deal.

"This is good news for ITV's shareholders, advertisers and of course our viewers," said the ITV executive chairman, Michael Grade.

"I'm thrilled that ITV is now the definitive home for all premium free-to-air football in this country."

Earlier this week Sky scooped the majority of the TV rights to Champions League football until 2012, after tabling a blockbuster bid estimated at more than £240m.

Uefa made the announcement after the broadcaster comprehensively outbid three rivals to secure exclusive rights to all but one match per round of games from the start of the 2009-10 season.

So what exactly do monopolies commissions do? You can bet that they will take any sport they want and monopolise coverage, making sure there's so little competition it doesn't bother them. And I bet the beeb is patting itself on the back in self congratulation over getting F1 back. And biggest laugh of the lot regards that is the fans are happy they're losing the ads, when we ALL have to pay the licence increase it won't be a small price to pay for a 'sport' that is processional and you miss little during the ads anyway (plus what do they think REPLAYS are for?)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
