Ok Mascherano should have controlled himself better. That said, Torres' yellow was ridiculous. He had been fouled multiple times (2-3 fouls in the seconds leading up to when the ref finally gave him a free kick). Nando points this out and gets booked. Mascherano sees red and reacts at the injustice of it all.
Man Utd get no yellow cards and they are the more persistent foulers. Meanwhile, Bennett has made a name for himself. This game was being watched the world over and ended up being wasted as a spectacle. Playing 11 v 12 at Old Toilet is hard enough. 10 v 12 is night on impossible when you are already a goal down.
Gutted. The only thing that will put this right is if we beat Man Utd in the CL final.
