He does more than score, he spends a lot of time winning free-kicks and acting like a ponce. So does he score only against weaker sides?

Ronaldo Premiership goals breakdown

Goals : 24
Games : 26

(Ronaldo has also scored 9 goals in 11 other games)

vs top four : 1 goal
vs bottom four : 7 goals

vs top half : 8 goals
vs bottom half : 16 goals

If Torres were taking our penalties and scored all that Gerrard has then he'd have three more Premiership goals. Considering the Premiership is hyped up as one of the best league, if not THE best, and yet Ronaldo is scoring freely against sides outside the top four

my point proven........he's an overrated, arrogant, portugese :censored:.

I'm still going for 2-1 and at least one player sent off.

Steve Bennett :no

I dont know about that mate. Just remember they are sitting at the top of the table where as we dont even have 4th place assured yet.

Sadley my prediction is going to be a 3-1 win for them. They are playing too good at the moment despite the slip up against Pompey. We will need luck to win this one, something in the form of a sending of for them or a penalty to us to take the lead. Thats the only way I can see us taking anything away from this one.

seven wins from seven mate, we're in the best form in the country. I haven't been this confident going into a game with United for a while, not since Mr Houllier and Mr Murphy left.

2-1 Liverpool.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Infact our record generally against the top 4 was much better under him. Anyway that was then and this is now. It maybe 7 wins but as far as domestic games go none of those 7 games have been against a top side so we shall see what state we really are in.

Ronaldo is not getting any special treatment’ - Rafa BenitezMar 21 2008

by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo

RAFA BENITEZ today insisted he will not be making any special plans to deal with the threat posed by Cristiano Ronaldo when Liverpool meet Man United on Sunday.

The Portuguese winger has been imperious form this season and currently tops the scoring charts with 33 goals to his name.

Though he is a confirmed admirer of Ronaldo's talents and is well aware of his ability to win games almost single handed, Benitez does not want to distract his players from the capabilities of United as a team by focusing too much on a single individual.

He said: "We have no special plans because if you start thinking too much about Ronaldo you will forget about Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes or Ryan Giggs.

"The most important thing for us is to keep our own team working as a team and if we do that maybe United will have to worry about us.

"If you are just watching Ronaldo there is a danger you will lose the others.

"They are a good team with a lot of good players so we need to think about controlling all of them.

"And maybe they are already thinking about Fernando Torres or Steven Gerrard or some of our other players."

The showdown at Old Trafford brings together Torres and Ronaldo, arguably the two best performing players in Britain and beyond this season.

Benitez believes there is very little between the pair but insists he would not swop record signing Torres for anyone.

"They are both really good players and it is very good for the supporters to see them play because they must enjoy watching them," he said.

"But Torres is our player so I would not want to change him."

Meanwhile, Javier Mascherano says he cannot wait for Sunday's game which will be his first visit to Old Trafford as a Liverpool player.

He said: "I did not play in the away game for Liverpool last season because I was still at West Ham.

"I played against them at Anfield this season and I really enjoyed the game even though the result did not go our way.

"I am sure the game on Sunday will be just as tough because United are a good team, but hopefully we will get a better result this time."

Maybe Raffas not making any plans for him but i bet yeh Skrtel is :nod

Must admit I can NEVER go into this game with actual confidence to the point where i'm predicting a win, particularly as we haven't won a game  against this lot for 4 years in the league and have managed just ONE goal in 7 matches against them. Saying that, this is as confident as i've been going into a game with them for a long time but I do have some concerns about our back four which has not really been as settled this season. It's generally been good but has been good for one or two mistakes a game and the mancs will likely punish us the first chance they get. Obviously the first goal is MASSIVE and if we can get it i would fancy our chances.

Expect Rafa to play the same line-up as recent weeks but i wouldn't be surprised to see Carra line up at Right-back for this one. Is Finnan fit?

A win would be amazing but i'd be delighted with a draw. I'm going on a boat party at 3pm so will only be able to catch the first half in the pub before hand. Just as well coz i just sit there feeling physically sick every time we play this lot.

maybe not against the biggest names in england but they were against two sides who'd beaten United (west ham and bolton) and two sides who had held Arsenal to draws (boro and newcastle)

it also included two teams who had already beaten us this season (west ham and reading) and a side who had held us to a draw (boro) so I think it's unfair on the lads for people to go "they haven't faced a difficult test"

I think this game with United will make it eight straight wins on the spin. I'm still going for a 2-1 win with Mr Torres getting both. I can see alvaro arbeloa being sent off :( because of a dive by that overrated ponce ronaldo.

Imagine a foto of Skrtel and Rooney.... put that on the mantlepiece, it'd keep the kids away from the fire!!  :p
Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

i'm feeling optimistic before our match with man utd ...

i have a great feeling that we're gonna win the match cuz mascherano will let us forget ronaldo and on the other hand we won't hear rio ferdinand's name except once when the commentator is like " what the hell is torres doing with rio "

i hope this senario take place on sunday cuz i have the faith this time in rafa that he can do it and win the three point from the old trafford by using his key mascherano and giving him a proper way to stop ronaldo without sending him injured out the pitch :p
