He does more than score, he spends a lot of time winning free-kicks and acting like a ponce. So does he score only against weaker sides?

Ronaldo Premiership goals breakdown

Goals : 24
Games : 26

(Ronaldo has also scored 9 goals in 11 other games)

vs top four : 1 goal
vs bottom four : 7 goals

vs top half : 8 goals
vs bottom half : 16 goals

If Torres were taking our penalties and scored all that Gerrard has then he'd have three more Premiership goals. Considering the Premiership is hyped up as one of the best league, if not THE best, and yet Ronaldo is scoring freely against sides outside the top four

Ronaldo is fantastic against Bolton,Villa,Reading etc but I've never seen him really dominate a big game (i.e. another top 4 side or late stages of CL, any international tournament).

Great players like Maradonna,Zidane etc rise to the big occasion, he reminds me of Henry who never scored in a final and rarely scored in knock outs of international tournaments for France.

Rooney doesn't score much either - very overrated.

I feel confident about this one :buttrock

I fully expect both Rooney and Ronaldo to net a brace each now.

You make a fair point, but a lot of these world-class calibre players like Ronaldo aren't anywhere near as effect in the real big games, simply because they are usually up against a world-class calibre opposition.

El Capitano Stevie G hasn't produced anything like his best display against Manchester United over the last few years if one was to be honest.

Doesn't matter if Ronaldo doesn't score against the big teams, winning the league is just as much about  not drawing the :censored: teams, and United are good enough as a team to do fairly well against the big boys anyway. If we had Ronaldo on our right wing, also meaning that United would not have him, then I think we would be top the league right now.

I wasn't saying I wouldn't want him at LFC, you are right the league is number 1, and players like him are great for that.

I'm just saying I have no fear of him for Sunday.

my point proven........he's an overrated, arrogant, portugese .

The one thing you got wrong there was "overated" and that as the most important thing. I couldnt give a feck who he plays for TBH, but I am able to still give credit where its due, he is a very good player almost as good as Torres and Gerrard.

Overated players arent of your Ronaldo ilk, read these boards and you'll see a few of our own posters who overate some of our players to the level of mind boggling.

Feel confident - we won't lose this won it'll either be a draw or we'll sneak it - 1-0 to us or a draw.

I'm still going for 2-1 and at least one player sent off.

Steve Bennett :no

I dont know about that mate. Just remember they are sitting at the top of the table where as we dont even have 4th place assured yet.

Sadley my prediction is going to be a 3-1 win for them. They are playing too good at the moment despite the slip up against Pompey. We will need luck to win this one, something in the form of a sending of for them or a penalty to us to take the lead. Thats the only way I can see us taking anything away from this one.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Well Peter Crouch in the last three seasons has scored against all of the top three sides. 5 goals in total. Isn't he up against the same world stars?
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

i wouldn't say manure are playing that well at the moment as only bambi is scoring (i have to agree that you can hate the greasy tw@t but you can't call him overrated)

earlier on in the season they were getting goals from all over but it is just him getting them through games.

my biggest concern will be set plays as fergie has identified that as a weakness in our last couple of meetings and they have scraped 1-0 wins when we have been the better side

i reckon this could be a decent win for us 3-0
