Gerrard is gonna drive us and we will come away from the hell hole with 3 points. I predicted 4-0 against West Ham and 1-0 against Inter. These things come in 3's im saying 2-0 us. Torres brace

It will be tough indeed but I hope Torres can make the difference. We have always had chances but we have always not taken them. Finally for the 1st time in years we have a striker who is taking those chances game after game. Torres is the key for this one imo.

Then Torres strolles back into the area giving Srevie a sneaky look to let him know where he was going.

While the Reading players where concentrating on Xabi , Torres sneaks in round the back and bang not one person picked him up, Brilliant work of a set play for me

I don't know if you saw it on MOTD Nanny but they highlighted Torres movement for the freekick. He ran the defender marking him into a bunch of players then stole a couple of yards to make the header...... clever boy  :D

that reading goal reminded me of the one agger scored against chelsea too.

Man Uniteds master plan to stop Torres......Boo him Image

Apparently

"He is mentally weak. He needs a hostile reception"

"We are stronger in every department. Therefore, I expect him to have a quiet afternoon (if he plays) regardless of if some mongs decide to boo him for the sake of it"

"I know we'll make him inviable*, but if the fans are on him as well the players will be up for things just that bit more, rooney will go steaming into him"

To be fair, we are due a win against this scum.

I can't see torres being phased by hostility, as im confident any chances he will take.

I thought going to the san siro was a tougher test than this.

For some strange reason I am more confident away than at home!

A lot of the goals have been because our defenders seem to have switched off for a few seconds rather than outright bad defending.

I still feel that we play into other teams hands by pulling everyone back to defend setpieces. Other sides know they can afford to flood our box because they no longer need worry about marking our forwards as they are all back defending. I also like to see one of our players taking up a position in and around the "d", as a clearing header can often be hit straight back by an on coming player if there is no one there to challenge.

Too true, Saint. I don't get the point of it either. Sure, you can clear it but it's only going to come straight back at you again.

Putting someone around the D is going to be essential come Sunday. I don't know how many times I have seen Utd take a corner and it fall to Rooney at the edge of the box. Didn't this lead to their goal last time out?
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

Booing a player never works.

When Ronaldo came back from the World Cup, he was booed and became one of the best players in the world.

When Newcastle fans booed Stevie G earlier this season, he almost burst the Toon net.

So Manure fans, by all means, boo Fernando.
