I only bothered when I started drinking (13 :D )*, but then realised town could get full
of knobs who couldn't handle their ale.

Im more Welsh than Irish, but that's nothing to celebrate :D

* just kidding like.

On St Patricks day an Irishman is sitting at the end of a bar. He sees a lamp at the end of the table. He walks down to it and rubs it. Out pops a genie. It says, “I will give you three wishes.”The man thinks awhile. Finally he says, “I want a beer that never is empty.”

With that, the genie makes a poof sound and on the bar is a bottle of beer. The Irishman starts drinking it and right before it is gone, it starts to refill. The genie asks about his next two wishes.

The man says, “I want two more of these.”

I find it funny that everybody celebrated St Patricks day on the wrong day this year.

It was NOT March 17 this year.

This is holy week (easter on Sunday) and no saint has a day celebrated on holy week. St Patricks day was moved to Saturday 15th (possibly Friday 14th ,can't remember).

Sad that it takes an atheist to point this out. :D

I dont think I have ever celebrated St Patricks day. Its a day where I would stay in the house and avoid Belfast city centre like the plague. But my other half was off work yesterday and decided he wanted to go into town and see a new shopping centre that had opened a week or so ago, Victoria Square or something like that. So away we went thinking that if we left it until the afternoon all the party goers would be away on home. But we where wrong. Belfast city centre was full of kids dressed in green, throwing up all over the place, cause they cant handle their drink. Only stayed in the town for an hour and headed on home. It would have done your head in!

Glad I wasn't there then... having a day off drinking, spewing and having a good time.

I was in Waxy O'Connors exactly a year ago, it sucked. Lots of cool rooms. we just walked through all of them realized that it wasn't quite our scene and it was really crowded so we left.

Too many kids full of cider going boogaloo. I bumped into a crowd of around 200 12-15 year olds full of booze. A scrap broke out. It was like watching the discovery channel.

Went to a mates; drank a few Guinness (no, not because it was St Paddy's but because I normally like drinking it); played a game of poker. I lost. Sh*t one.

Still, St Paddy's is only a bit of craic, sure. Some people be drinking lemon juice on that day, while others be drinking the jungle juice.
