We've shot ourselves in the foot too early in the campaign and it's gonna take a Herculean effort to reign in the leaders.... Not to mention it requires a slip up of epic proportions on the part of the 3 front runners. I've been heartened by the recent run of results and am pleased that Rafa is keeping a stable squad/formation.... long may it continue as I truly believe that this is the wisest course of action.

Agree with S@int and bigmick that its been a season of lost opportunities.

But then again, mathematically, we're still in with a shout and until the fat lady sings I will continue to hold out hope.

I've told John (GBJH) that if we win the league and European Cup double, I'll personally fly home and smash open a couple of barrels for us to celebrate..... If it happens, we're gonna drink ourselves blind. Hell, I'll do the same if we "only"win the prem! All are welcome btw..... :D

If it happens I'll name me daughter coming in May, Rafaela!  :p :D

Never give up hope Con. This club is famous for making come backs and what's even better is everyone on the telly is only interested in the top three. Discarding us like they do every round in Europe.

I don't think all should be invited to our celebratery drink though Con, can you imagine certain people in here in the same room as one another. They'd be punches thrown...just like a good scouse party should be.  :D

you know even though I disagree with your money-isn't-an-issue line of thought I wholeheartedly agree with this one...  :D ...

we should just take one game at a time.. try to win every game as it comes and we'll never know what can happen... :buttrock

moscow...what's that got to do with the PREMIERSHIP TITLE?
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

Not gonna say it's impossible but it's a hard ask. However until we're done and dusted i'll still hold some belief deep down that we may sneak it.

Even Rafa's starting to believe!

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez revived The Reds’ Premier League title challenge on Monday, suggesting his team could sneak up on the blindside if they win their next five matches.

Benitez’s men face Manchester United and Everton, before their league trip to Arsenal is sandwiched in between two Champions League quarter final ties – also against The Gunners.

Liverpool’s challenge was written off months ago, but they could feasibly finish Sunday’s contest with Manchester United just five points behind The Red Devils.

Benitez has never been one to talk up his side’s chances, but he admits his men are no longer simply playing for fourth place.

"How near we finish to the top now will be interesting. We have been criticised this season, but let us see where we are in three or four weeks,” said the Spaniard.

"We have important games and if we win them we will be a lot closer. If we can beat Manchester United we will be closer to the top, and that will give us more confidence.

"If we beat Everton after that then we will be closer still. Maybe, maybe we can be closer if we do not talk too much about it.

"Do we have a point to prove? Maybe, but only if we can keep winning three points

err no. i dont think so.

I can, and will support my club through thick and thin mate.

dont start doubting someones loyalty to the club because they think that another team will win the title. You gonna question st mick, rafa-dodd, leon because they dont think we'll win the league this season either?... I was just being realistic.

My point is chelsea are in a better position and have a better chance of winning it. end of.

I don't question them as , they stick by their club , they don't say this or that , they don't defend another manager especially grant who does not deserve credit , i agree wenger and ferguson do get credit from them but they earned it . Grant has not . Lets end this discussion here mate , u're a red , i am a red thats all that matters

Listen, I cant see why stating the bleeding obvious (i.e. Chelsea have a better chance of winning the title) is deemed as "not standing by the club"

It's not even an opinion, its fact.

That's why the bookies make Chelsea 3-1 and we are 100-1. Yes, that's right 100-1.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

Yes they do have abetter chance , correct but i'm argueing as he's praising grant saying he has 10 wins and 2 draws in his last 12 games when i said grant has no clue . Grant has done nothing to be given praise what so ever , he inherited the squad , has a blank cheque behind him and this will never show his managerial skills as he can get any player he want . Well money can't buy u everything , they lost the mickey mouse cup to a demoralised spurs compared to last season . Grant has no clue what so ever how to counter certain players and it showed when keane and berbatov were cutting them like a hot knife throught butter , with that said , that arguement was between me and him and i'd really appreciate it if U STAYED OUT

Of course Grant deserves credit. The guy came in at  a tiem when fans were angry that Jose was gone. He has come in and he has put them in touchign distance of winnign the league. The title is in there hands now. Chelsea are 3 points of the top witha  game in hand and both Man Utd and Arsenal to come at Stamford Bridge.

They reached the Carlign Cup final under Avram. Chelsea are in the Champions League quarter finals.

Avram has won 10 of his last 12 games. Chelsea are still in the race and for me, I would say that they are 2nd favourites to win it behind United.

He deserves some credit.

They lost in the final to a derserving Spurs team who also happend to demolish Arsenal in the Semis 5-1. There isn't any shame in losing to Spurs int he final.

Avram derserves credit for put Chelsea in a great postion to win a 3rd League title in 4 years as well as a good chance of reaching the Champions League final.

10 wins out of 12 deserves credit.

Give credit where credit is due weather we like Chelsea or not.

It's all very reasonable Yari but I can't get away from the niggling suspicion that you aren't actually a Liverpool supporter mate. Chelsea Forever?

Yet thery are 3 points of the top with a game in hand and the big two still to come. A position that we wish we could be in.

Chelsea have won 10 of the last 12 games. How many of us Liverpool fans would take that kind of form for the last 9 games if we were given it now.

Please, stop being blinded by the red mist.

Barcelona are a team full of Internationals yet look at how they are doing this season. Real Madrid were a team full of superstar internation who failed for 3 years running until Capello came in.

A team also needs the right manager to be succesful. A manager who can gel players, somethign which Avram has done since he is arrived.
