Really scrappy game, we never really got comfortable possession and Alonso seemed to get caught in possession quite a lot (not the only player ). M.O.M. Mascherano, athought Carra and Skrtel both ran him close.

Whats the story with Le Tissier commentating on Super Saturday on Liverpool matches week after week. He is a jinx and loves to see us slip up. I hope Tommo smacks him some saturday....

Good win indeed. And deserved.

A game that was a bit more hard fought than I'd imagined, but the job got done in the end, and that's all that matters.

Kuyt haters can say what they want (not that I'm a fan admittedly) but he is currently obviously solving a tactical problem for Rafa at the moment, and it's working. His current role out on the right is giving the side much needed balance and stability.

What makes you think Reading were easy? I recall a 3-0 defeat to them earlier in the season, plus one wonder goal at Anfield. There are no easy games and haven't been for some time (apart from the  likes of Newcastle and Derby, but even the Mancs struggled against the latter of those).

A laboured win, but 3 points never the less.:D
I guess they are still recovering from the mid week european game.

I predicted a 2-0 victory for Liverpool yesterday with Torres scoring one of the goals so I can be quite happy with that.  :)

I noticed yesterday some were predicting a 4 or 5 zero win for this game which was quite unbelievable. Reading are a very tough team to play against with plenty of fight and spirit despite there lowly league position and I feared the worst when they took the lead but Liverpool turned it around and that's now 7 wins on the bounce, and what with Torres scoring his 20th Premiership goal and Mascherano registering his first goal for the club it's been an extremely pleasent afternoon.

Was a little dicey at the end but we deserved to win... MOM was either Skrtel or Carra..... Didn't play so well in the 2nd half but am made up we won.
Skrtel is impressing the hell out of me! A no nonsense, very dependable defender and he seems to be tough as old boots.
Kuyt deserves a massive pat on the back for effort but today wasn't his best in this formation. He's trying too hard and heaping loads of pressure on himself.

And the team is looking a little tired after the exertions of the last 13 days with 5 games. Good job we've got a week before we go to old trafford.
Well done lads.... That's 7 on the trot now... long may it continue....

I cant stand that Le Tissier. He could have had a great career if he had any Ambition. No he stuck with crappy Southampton.

Hull 5-0 Southamton. Take that you guffy git Le Tissier...
