Absolutely made up with the result and with the professional performance at the San Siro!  Another wonder strike from Torres and an accomplished team performance all around to kill the tie off.  Credit to Reina as well for two vital saves and ta to the Inter strikers for being so fecking selfish and shooting wide when they could have squared to wide open teammates! :D

It'll be interesting to see who comes out of the pot against us on Friday.  Whoever it is will not like the draw, I guarantee you! :nod

Well in, Redmen! :buttrock

Its a well know fact that the people in Uefa don't like the english. Whats the betting that we all get drawn against each other in the quarters to eliminate two english teams. The old hot balls tactic. Am i being synical.
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Mancini - arrogant dummy spitting pr*ck. Wanted a card for every time we made a tackle. W@nker. No class.

Ibrahimovic - overrated. I now deem him officially sh*te. Scored a few good goals in his time, but is just awful most of the time.

Well in, lads. I got my 1-0 prediction spot on! Well done me. And well done Rafa and his red men for once again making the doubters eat their words.

NEXT!

This is a good chance for Roma to catch Inter in Serie A.

The gap is only six points.

at last justice for the great "bill shankly" & the rest of the lads who where robbed
all those years ago! 1965 - that goes some way in hoping we never have to go
through that again! well played redmen, brilliant performance, brilliant result
thank you raffa & the team, the fans out there tonight, who together showed
what an exellant team spirit we have, our history will always shine through
when the doubters raise their ugly heads!

great result, great performance, torres is reminding me of rush more every game, and it was fair 10 against 10 because once again kuyt showed just how poor he really is

to be honest, I found myself nervous for the first 12 minutes or so and then mostly frustrated after until Bordissio was sent off then I knew it was in the bag and the torres goal was pretty sweet. But the cups is allllllll about the results (well isn't everything really all about the results? except I guess ressie games, youth game and preseason games)

spot on mate! totally agree ibrahimovic is so overrated
it makes me laugh! people on here go on about the
likes of kuyt, well i"m telling you as it is- tonight
i"m glad kuyt was on our side rather than that
overrated tw@t, at least kuyt works for his
team mates & ties to create goalscoring
chances for his side aswell as himself, rather than
a player who"s more worried about his hair!
"what a tw@t he really is"

Hey lads, credit where credit is due, the Reds played a great game today despite the best efforts of Hicks to put them off by announcing the DIC deal was off. What a freaking prat he is.

Well done to the lads for rising above it and producing the goods when it mattered.

Great result in Europe ................Again :D

Reminded me of those European performances we used to give in the late 70's and early 80's, Disciplined, professional and not a sniff to the opposition.

To beat Inter Milan over 2 legs and not concede is about as good as it gets so far but who would bet against it getting even better and Liverpool Football Club being in Moscow come May :p

Some recognition from the press wouldn't go a miss. If any of the other 3 English clubs done this they would be wanking all over it for days.

We just beat Italys best home and away very professionally and I think Rafa deserves a lot of praise for this. It will be interesting to see if we won the game because of the ref.
