tjis game is all about us. if we play the way we can and have been doing recently we will even win this tie but we need to believe in playing the way that got us here. babbel and kuys passing is a worry and lucas inexperience and where is stevie. sort them out and we're home and dry.
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

Hope we have more control of midfield in the second half, we're missing Alonso.

dont mean to be harsh... but some of you people are eejits. the type of player we definately need in this game are those who will run and chase and tackle and go down the line with the ball all day long. We need kuyt on the pitch.

im on torres 1-0 BTW @ 33s which would be nice

I agree with you on that but not with Crouch <--- out on the wing , not a hope but i would like to see Pennant on for Kuyt thats if he on the subs bench .

We're definitely too cautious for my liking in games like this, and all too often we're inviting them to keep the ball and maraud forward.

That said, my worry before the game was that we were going to camp out in our own half, and in fairness we haven't done that, and we have made efforts to get forward. If this stays 0-0 with 20 mins to go, I can see Torres nicking one on the break - they'll have to bomb forward at that point.

Babel hasn't been great but the worry is Kuyt. He is getting all the good oppurtunites. Babel needs to stay on because he has the pace to exploit the gaps which will start to appear.

Easier to pick out the players having a bad game rather than who's having a good one so far. Babel should come off Lucas is looking a lightweight and Kuyt needs to do better with his final ball.

I thought Gerrard did ok and Aurelio has worked hard with not much help.

Happy so far, but there are a few things we need to be doing. Stop kicking long. Its just giving them the ball back and stopping us getting out of our area. Also we need Kyut off he's having a shocker. Also slow the game down. When we get the ball we shouldn't be in too much rush to do anything (unless there's something on).

Correct, Kuyts screwed up a couple of crosses but his tracking back has helped out Carra a lot.

Agreed on Babel.

I think Gerrard is not being great, but IMHO he's doing more than a decent job in a very difficult position, against a team that do not allow to receive in that position and turn. He's been aware in a collective pressing of the team and created a clear chance. A couple of very good long balls to the right too.

Not a bad game at all.
