Anyone knows why mascherano is out ? Is he injured or suspended ? If he is injured, is it serious ? Will he be ready for inter ....

I know thats a lot of questions....but we do need him against inter.

I like it. Gerrard on the right, Alonso doing Mascherano's role, and Lucas with enough freedom to see his quality in the 2/3 part of the pitch.

Looks like rafa is gonna go 4-3-2-1 until the end of this season.

I like this team....pennant is an improvement over kuyt.

I would have preferred if babel was included....but think he might be unleashed against the slow italians in the champions league....

Lucas will take over mascherano's work.

Alonso will do what he is good in...setting up passes and controlling the tempo.

Gerrard on a free role.

Pennant ON THE RIGHT.

Benayoun on the left...

We'll see. I think that when we see the midfield the midfielder that is most behind will be Xabi.

I'm unsure who will be more often behind Torres this game, though. Maybe Gerrard will be on a free role as The rock mentions. But I think Lucas is more comfortable in attacking tasks than in defensive ones.

I agree with Sabre here i think youll find Xabi holding and Lucas being the one to push on. Anyway i dont care who holds and who attacks as long as we win
