Your bias is showing, lad.  Alonso has been very solid.  Not spectacular but solid.  He's done the simple stuff well and kept the ball moving when he's got it.  A much better performance, to be fair, than Lucas offered against Boro.

To be fair, Boro was one of Lucas' worst games, he had been playing better before that match. Can't judge somebody off one performance. Even so, at this stage in their careers, both players on form I'll have to take Xabi

Alonso still sub par I take it.... judging from whats been posted so far...?

DOn't mean to sound harsh , he's been very useless , just wasting a space in the 11 . I think this spells the end of playing days for LFC , no doubt the alonso brigade will have something to say to defend him

Shut up you silly tart.

It's like reading the scribbles of a 5 year old at times with you.

who's asking u to read? With u its just swearing . Accept the fact , point out what has he hadded to the team so far??

Where did I swear in that last post? I'll give you a tenner if you can find it.

Accept what fact? Are you so deluded you believe your opinion is now fact?

Alonso did the job asked of him - to protect the back 4 along with Mascher. He also managed a few passes - not that you'd notice...

out of 10 post 9 have them . He did not do a fantastic job did he , misplaced easy direct passes . Yes his cross was good , very good to find aurelio , other then that it was a below average performance by him , for a player of hsi standards , xabi can do better and shud be

So who was better than him today then?

And swear words are just as much a part of the English language as any other.

Why is it a problem? You wouldn't complain if you were at a live match and people were shouting such things. (Well - unless you wanted your ears boxed in, of course. :D)

btw do you guys like the recent line up? I don't really like it honestly... we seem quite imbalanced... I've been always against gerrard playing a support striker role because it gets the lone striker isolated... against lesser teams gerrard might do some damage like today playing in that position... but against better teams I'm afraid he might be quite limited there... I'd rather he play on the right if we wanna use both masch and alonso... and still have 2 strikers up front...

if only we hadnt had that slump after christmas when the players staff and fans were distracted by the media circus, i feel we would be in a good position now

i agree....alonso is pure class and he obviously needs match sharpness after missing alot of the season through injury...but to sell him would be a joke

Good win,  but need to improve on performance, but Benitez still at large with his negative tactics in the second half, and pointless substitutions !
It was fine play by SG, Babel, Alonso Mascherano, Hypia.

negative tactics? :D

Hilarious stuff

I hate Bolton. They play scrappy football and then bring you down to their level. Well, they usually do and have done in the past. Today was no different. They tried it. They f*cking failed, Sad c*nts. I'm glad we battered them. My only negative on this game is that we didn't hurt them enough. We should have put another 3 past them just to emphasis how bollox they are.

Oh, and how good is Hyypia? F*cking legend that man. Along with Mascherano, he was as good as any on the pitch. Gerrard played well, but it would have been nice to see the big Fin pick up the MOTM award for a change.

Really good game from the lads, maybe we were too nervous in the first half, but when we scored the lucky goal everything changed for us and we began to play better. Babel played really well, Gerrard MOTM ofcourse, was outstanding. Alonso has done well, I thought he was solid showed some good passes and dictated the tempo well. Torres was quite, maybe because he didn't see much of the ball. Aurelio scored a sweet goal.

good performance lets build on it.

4-0 Torres, Benayoun, Hyypia and Riise? What a tit who suggested that :D

Give the lad some credit, there was four goals, one by a forward in Davies (not Torres), one by a left back in Aurellio (not Risse), one by a left winger in Babel (not Yossi) and one scored by a fin is Jasskelinen (not Sami).

So overall I wasn't a million miles off :D

Great win and performance, the new attacking line up of Babel, Gerrard and Kuyt playing behind Torres looks promising. Kuyt's refinding some of his form (even if I'm not a huge fan of him) Babel playing as well as he has done for us. Torres still scoring for fun (despite not netting today) and Gerrard being given the freedom to do as he wishes. A good TACTICAL move by Benitez. The league isn't out of reach yet, we've gained two points on Arsenal this weekend. Keep the faith :D
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.
