No, 100 posts only means you can be "considered" for Elite Status.

What forced me to leave this site back then and still winds me up is the separation. When the creators and moderaters of this site created an elite posting forum I had to leave. I could not stay around anymore when censorship was taking over. Liverpool FC was the club of the working class it was a club whose roots lay in real people who struggled to survive. It was born of the people and for the people. I am still very disappoint to see an elite board heree, as if those who post less have less say. I have never posted there and I never will. I am from the people born of the people and love the people. As was my hero Bill Shankly. Liverpool FC has never had elite members, apart from Hicks and Gillett. I am surprise that the elite board still exists I hoped it would be gone. I do log on there sometimes to see what it being posted AND THE FACT IS, THE FANS WHO DONT HAVE ELITE STATUS MISS OUT BECAUSE THEIR RESPONSE OR VOICE IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGE. My point is this appartite is wrong wherever it comes from what ever the excuse appartite is wrong. Unify this site and agree with the members a code of behaviour or contract which will lead to exclusion of those who breach the trust of all of us and not the decision of any single or combined moderator. I dont care why people are banned as long as it because they breach a common agreed set of values. Id have no complaints. I would urge evey serious member on here to join me and call for a clear and agreed set of rules that we all know and understand. that this site is open to all until they breach the rules andtjhat most importantly we all agree waht those rules should be. I accept that sometimes I talk sh**E but tonight Im right. Thats sounds like an irish ode( now theres a wee copyright mark I need to add here)@is that it. Anyway stop the appartite.

For me its main use is when the forum becomes infested with windups, alter egos and other assorted :censored:

that you go and hide in there. Other then that its just a internet forum some people really need a life..........now back to the Star trek convention

It would be a good place to stick the match day threads in, especially the european matches that way we dont have to put up with the WUM's.

Much ado about nothing if you ask me Big Al.

There's currently only one thread in there that was started this year and as others have pointed out after a hundred posts anybody can use it.

Do take your point however that it does have a whiff of elitism about it, think the mods did at one point discuss scrapping it. (I feel a poll coming on

)

As for forum rules, they're pinned at the top of every menu page.

Heh Wool and Al I'm only 31 but at times look 60.

The Premium Members is now well and truly defunct and should be scrapped. It was an experiment three years ago to try and clamp down on spammers and wind up merchants. The idea was that all regular members would be allowed to post there and it would become the main posting forum and that way wind up merchants wouldn't be allowed to ruin decent threads.

You may remember at the time that Dom and Roberts/Beavis had about ten alter egos on the go at anyone time and they often used these to spam the forums. Indeed there were worse than Dom and Roberts, such as freaks like Kindaconfused.

The idea was to keep these guys at arms length and not allow them spoil the football threads.

However, the Premium forum was misinterpreted at the time as a zone for the only those members who the mods thought were "good enough" to post there. Lines were drawn where there was never an intention to divide the forum into the haves and have nots. As I said, the original idea was that all of the regular members would become members and spammers could be kept at arms length.

Sadly it never took off and became a bone of contention.

In any event there are new posting rules where I think you need to have a certain amount of posts before you can start a new thread and there are far more moderators now to help things stay on an even keel.

JBG, 31, your kidding, right. You always seemed so mature and sensible, I revered you as a senior member of society. Now I find you were just a 26 year old know it all:p. But seriously 31, your sensiblity must be genetic just like my boyish good looks. Take a vote to scarp the elite forum, if a majority say yes then the issue will be decided. Thanks for your reply.

I could just move all the threads to Liverpool Gen Chat and close the place down and the the top man could delete the empty forum from existence.

Or if there's a quicker way, due to my extreme laziness, I'm all ears.
