We was with British Gas a while back and paid about 40% of our money on gas. We contacted BG and asked why it is costing so much, they said what we will do is we will send somebody around to read your meter and we'll get back to you. Sure enough a couple of days later, somebody came around, read our meter then off he went. We then got a letter, we owe you £248 your last meter reading was wrong, we apologise for that and we will reimburse you with what you are due. Did we receive it? of course we didnt, one excuse after another as to why they shouldnt pay us. We ended up with nothing. We both started work, mine was a work trial but my missus got full time work in a factory. They decided on my part to take someone else on work trial rather than keep me on and my missus hours were cut to part time, the xmas period had past so not as much work was available. We informed the tax credits department as to what has happened but they still charged her with full working tax. She is now out of work because, typical agency, there is now no work. The tax credits department was contacted and they owe us 4 weeks money for overpaid tax, they said we should receive our money that we have overpaid last monday, have we received it? have a guess ! We phoned them up and apparently they have had problems with the department with regards to payments !

Ive had enough, why is it they never have problems with the billing departments, sure as hell, there bill will arrive but whenever any of us are owed money problems arise.

Shocking isnt it?  :D

Despite my recent whinges however this is affecting us, we have no money and are owed by other people and yet we are being short changed. My kids need clothes especially shoes for school and we are literally penny less. We cannot afford the basics because being in work and coming out has cost us massively. In work was great, we did benefit however agency work has cost us and we are suffering. We are owed money but nobody wants to pay, and they call us estate house owners spongers !!
