LIVERPOOL VS MIDDLESBROUGH - 23rd feb 2008, ko 15:00

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

A few people have mentioned that Boro will park a bus in front of goal again, if my memory serves me correctly I think the last time we played them they came out and played ball against us and we were lucky to get the draw due to a fantastic individual goal from Torres. I think the "park the bus" excuse gets overused a bit when it comes to us as a way to paper over the fact that we lack creativity in games like these.

4-0. We'll hammer them. They've just come off the back of a FA Cup 0-0 draw with Sheff Utd, we've just beaten Inter Milan. 4-0 cruise control, Babel and Torres both scoring two each.
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

wouldnt be too sure. they've actually looked pretty solid lately. they are the team i cant stand but im thinking we will beast them, wont be a walk in the park tho.

they havent lost since new years day, including holing us to a 1-1 draw. hopefully the lean spell is behind us tho

after we crushed besiktas and porto we beat fulham 2-0 and bolton 4-0.  After we Barca last year we won 4-0 against Sheffield United.  When we won 3-0 away at PSV we beat Reading 2-1 the next game.

In the last 2 years the only time after a really important big euro night in which we won did we follow with a loss was beating Marseile and following it up with a loss at home to Man U and when we beat Chelsea in the semi's and lost to Fulham, but we sent a REALLY weakened team to craven cottage if I remember: Insua, Palletta, momo, bellamy, fowler, gonzalez and No gerrard and no carra

Reina

Finnan    Skrtel      Agger(pray and hope)  Riise

Benayoun      Gerrard    Mascherano       Babel
                    Crouch   Torres

Play a strong team and try and keep the momentum we picked up against Inter going, if we get an early breakthrough I can see us winning 3-0 if we dont it may be a long hard struggle to a 1-0. I hate playing Middlesborough, always seems such a dour struggle of a game. I thought about putting Kuyt in after his goal, but I couldn't be so hypocritical

I'm sure Effes has paid a good few quid for his season ticket so he's entitled to his opinion on how we play!
