This is going to be Inter's team tomorrow:

-----------------------Cesar--------------------------
Maicon--------Cordoba----------Matrix----------Chivu-
-------Vieira----------Cambiasso---------Zanetti------
-----------------------Stankovic---------------------
-----------------Cruz-----------Ibrahimovic-----------

or

-----------------------Cesar----------------------------
Maicon------Cordoba----------Matrix--------------Maxwell
---------Zanetti------Cambiasso------Chivu--------------
----------------------Stankovic---------------------------
-----------------Cruz-----------Ibra-----------------------

Core of the team is the same. The only question is whether to play Vieira in midfield and Chivu at LB, or Maxwell at LB and Chivu at midfield.  The two factors involved are: Is Vieira ready to come back after not playing a lot of matches and Do we want to add offense at the LB position or stay safe?

What is the most likely lineup? I see a lot of people are putting Babel in there, Kewell in there, 1 striker, 2 strikers...what's the deal?

lol that's rotation mate, theres no such thing as a 'possible line up', but for these big games u gotta be sure our back bone will be on, (Reina, Carragher, Gerrard, Torres,) then u can build the team round them.

am guessin also Mascherano will be playing as he missed the FA cup game, so who plays around those five is anyones guess.

My worry for us against Inter is that if they have a weakness, it's possibly that they play very narrow and may be vulnerable out wide.  Of course our problem is that our wide players don't deliver often enough.  How well our wide men play could be the key to us getting a result in this one.

I'd start with:

                            Reina

Finnan         Carragher       Hyypia      Arbeloa

              Mascherano       Alonso

Pennant                Gerrard                  Babel

                           Torres

I'd go with Torres up on his own with Gerrard supporting, even though we are at home.  The Italians are too clever for Crouch and Kuyt, they'll read everything Kuyt tries as he's not very subtle and they'll win free-kicks off Crouch all night as he's clumsy and they'll exploit it.

They'll sit back and try and draw us out, then break.  Personally I'd keep this one tight and try and play like the away side as with that team we have plenty of pace on the break.

0-0 would be a better result for us than them imo.  They'll always be more adventurous at home and I think we'll score in the san siro.  We keep a clean sheet at home and we're in with a shout in this one.

Your English is fine, and I think that you've got one hellofa player from us.  Sissoko will be massive for you guys in the CL next year, I'm sure of it.  Anyway, I wish you guys the best of luck in the Seria A, and I hope our great teams meet up sometime in the near future.

I like Momo very much.He has played little but is already the fan's idol.
However I prefer Mascherano.  :D and obviously Gerrard, one of the best world players.

So good luck for the match guys.

my prediction.....hopefully the opposite will happen like always with my predictions

this wont be a normal champs league performance, i feel rafa has lost the dressing room because of the chopping and changing of formation

i predict a real toothless performance, no clear chances a real lack of desire from us, no guile or creative spark and inter turn us over 2-0

Well if we get beat tomorrow ive got my whipping boy :D

Im gonna blame the Ref so be warned.

Inter Milan’s referee storm
Feb 18 2008 by David Prentice, Liverpool Echo

ANFIELD stages the most eagerly anticipated rematch since Rocky squared up to Apollo Creed, tomorrow night.

And with Tag Heuer-like timing, the respected World Soccer magazine printed the following sentence this week.

“Inter have found themselves at the centre of a critical storm prompted by some ‘dubious’ refereeing decisions.”

The coincidence is uncanny.

All week Anfield chat has centred around a bent ref, disallowed goals and ‘that’ match back in 1965.

Then just days before Inter return, the Italians have been accused of receiving favours once again.

But this time Kopites shouldn’t worry – at least not about the officiating.

There is no suggestion of corruption or bribery on this occasion.

In Italy, the practice of “sudditanza” (literally ‘subjection’), means a referee favouring big-name clubs at the expense of smaller ones.

And it’s nothing we haven’t seen over here at Old Trafford many times.

The game which saw Inter spotlighted was on January 20.

Inter beat Parma 3-2, aided by a highly controversial last minute penalty equaliser which was the catalyst for an unlikely 93rd minute winner.

Gazzetta Dello Sport’s headline was “Favours for Inter?” and angry owner Massimo Moratti decreed a press blackout, which was just as well.

A fortnight later, Inter were the beneficiaries of another highly controversial penalty against Empoli, the game’s only goal.

But a sense of perspective came from former Juve coach Marcello Lippi: “Inter have the strongest squad,” he said.

“Physically they are totally dominant and they have a sense of self belief and conviction that no other side have.

“They are a team that know they can score at any moment and can win a game in a thousand ways.”

Liverpool have been warned.

that's the only true part. of course lippi was talking just about italy when saying "the strongest squad"
