Never want the team to lose no matter how much you dislike Rafa, THAT IS NOT THE LIVERPOOL WAY.

If we pick our strongest team, attack from the start and have our amazing support and atmosphere, then we seriously do have a very strong chance of winning.

As for the away tie, well i'm confident that Torres or Gerrard can score that crucial away goal. We definitely need to bring in a second striker for next season.

Despite being a big critic of Rafa Benitez lately and have advocated a parting of ways in the summer I fully expect us to go through to the next round.

We are a different side in Europe and I believe that Inter are over rated.

I agree that every true fan must want the team to win, and yes I do want us to crush Inter on Tuesday but I have such a bad feeling about it, sorry but its true  :sniffle
I think if we can get an early goal and control the game then we have a chance but if they get the first goal then I fear it could be a humiliation that makes the game against Barnsley look like fun times. I just think that team spirit sucks at the moment and now even Carra is starting to talk out against Rafa, in an indirect way, which is wrong but understandable.

FWIW....if we do beat inter convincingly, i really do thing this will be turning point in our season where we will end up winning the champions league and most of our league games (ok...we will lose the final few games as rafa will most likely rest play key players to keep them fresh for the final)...

I know many keep saying we have turned the corner numerous times this season...but this is the real deal.

In 2004, Gerrard's goal against Olympiacos was the crucial point in that season....After that we were pretty much unbeaten in europe and our league form improved a little...

And so..the same stuff can happen now....

So hope all our players perform for the club (even if they have lost belief on rafa).....So Gerrard and Carra with the rest of the team really have to step up.

Inter aren't really a young team..they have quite a few key players in the wrong side of 30 (similar to AC Milan). So if we take the game to them like how we did to juventus...we can beat them.

I am pretty sure you can take the following players off your fantasy rafa as they are playing 24 hours before the CL match against Newcastle Reserves

1. Peter Gulacsi
2. Stephen Darby (Captain)
3. Emiliano Insua
4. Mikel San Jose Dominguez
5. Ronald Huth
6. Damien Plessis
7. Ryan Crowther
8. Ryan Flynn
9. Jordy Brouwer
10. Krisztian Nemeth
11. Ray Putterill

Substitutes:

12. Gerardo Bruna
13. Dean Bouzanis
14. Martin Kelly
15. Daniel Ayala
16. Andras Simon
Jay Spearing is hurt by the way, Flynn will take his place, he can play either centrally or on the wings, quite the versatile Scottish midfielder
                     Gulacsi (hungarian hasn't played much)
Darby    San Jose (on bench at Chelsea)   Huth      Insua
                                     Plessis
Crowther (needs to show me something)                   Putterill
                                      Flynn
Brouwer("target" man, but worst at finding the target in the whole city)
Nemeth (time he scored a hattrick)

Would really like to see Bruna on for Flynn and Simon on for any attacking player, as well as getting a look at the young Ayala at Centre Half

Interesting omission is Dani Pacheco, maybe he made the bench with Voronin out and Torres questionable, if he starts two strikers (torres and crouch) he is going to want 2 strikers on the bench if he is allowed 7 subs
