I was not just the game that had wound me up as i had already had a bad day.

As for the forum, it seems as time moves on more members are starting to see thar Rafa is not the man for the job.

if i posted  "Even if we win the CL we should still get a new manager" you would get members saying how could you sack a manager that just won the CL, i say  easy, he has done nothing in the prem for 4 years, day in day out we are poor and the only time we look any good is when he sets a team out to win a game in CL.

Its too late to show us something new now Rafa, your time is up.

true....and its also not wrong to change.
hope for better times.

I wanted to post more but restrainted to just one sarcastic comment after the game. The problem is, its not the first time this season something like this has happened so the shock factor wasnt as high as before. I guess im more worried about Tuesday that anything.

Shocking. But I'm not surprised by this comment  either. This sort of thing is absolutely unacceptable at our football club. I'm amazed that you can have a dig at the Yanks back when it all came out that they did this, then suggest it yourself.

6)Bang.......we win the premier and champions league for 2008/2009

This club is in the middle of a serious crisis right now. Jose Mourinho is not Jesus f*cking Christ. He cannot perform miracles and he certainly will not perform the one you have deluded yourself into thinking so within the space of a year. This club needs shock up, top-to-bottom. Christ, when are people going to wake up?!

I think its about time you woke up and smelt "the coffee"...its people like you living in a world of deluded denial that cant see through those rose tinted glasses that some of you lot on here wear!. The pro-rafa brigade have no defence in this matter Rafa has had his time and we need to move on lets install mourinho at the end of this season....and he will do something that Rafa (in over 4 years) has consistantly failed to do.........and thats get rid of all the dead wood and buy QUALITY players1 instead of wasting money on the likes of Kuyt, crouch, pennant, lucas, etc, etc,........and someone who has the brains to know that kewell is sh*te and should never wear the red shirt again. :nod

Erm cough cough.

I dont want to upset anyone here by posting this article (sorry Mick and i mean that hand on heart)
but lets have some faith, No im not blinded by what hes done ive been around the block and back to long for that. But i still believe there isnt at this moment someone else who could come in and do a better job. Im not saying Raffa is a god im not that senile yet but the problems at are club go way deeper than Raffa Benitez its been along them lines for years since way before he came in. But i for one am grate ful to the man who did give us a little bit of self belief as a fan back again. So until hes sacked or walkes i will support our manager.

BENITEZ DEMANDS RESPECT

By Peter Fraser

!

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez has hit back at his critics after the Reds were dumped out of the FA Cup by Barnsley.

The Tykes, who sit mid-table in the Championship, recorded a huge upset as they came from behind to knock Liverpool out 2-1 at Anfield.

And the defeat adds increasing pressure on under-fire Benitez as Liverpool can now only realistically target silverware in this season's UEFA Champions League.

But Benitez, who took over at Anfield in 2004, has defended his record at Liverpool after guiding the Merseyside outfit to two Champions League finals in the past three years - including winning the competition in 2005.

Benitez has also steered Liverpool to success in the 2006 FA Cup and Community Shield, alongside the 2005 European Super Cup, and the Spaniard believes that record deserves respect.

"If you analyse the last few years since I came to the club we have won four trophies and been in seven finals, including two in the Champions League," Benitez said in The People.

"How many other managers have done the same in their first three or four years at the club? People can talk about being successful but nobody is winning trophies every year.

"To do that is really difficult so I think we are in a really good position with a very young squad, so I have a lot of confidence in the team for the future."

Benitez's relationship with Liverpool's American owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks has also been questioned and his future at the club was cast into doubt after the duo met Jurgen Klinsmann, who is set to takeover at Bayern in the summer, earlier in the season.

"When you are trying to work hard and do your job it is hard to accept the criticism that is always following me," Benitez added. "And, yes, it is a big surprise to see another manager in the background."

Benitez, though, is confident Liverpool stand a good chance of progressing in the Champions League when they meet Italian champions Internazionale in the last 16 on Tuesday.

"It could be important to us to progress in Europe because that would give us more confidence, particualry if we beat a team like Inter," Benitez continued.

"It's not impossible. We have done it before and we could do it again - why not?"

That article in a way sounds very similar to one Louie Van Gaal gave before he left Barcelona. He was ranting about what he had won ect...and that they should be grateful. Although the 2 situations are differnent I cant help but think Rafa is running out of things to say with every questionable result.

NANNY, there are two camps when it comes to Rafa.

camp one

happy to just sit back and win the fa cup or CL every few years and do nothing in the prem.

Camp two

Play good football each week, close the cap on the top teams, try to win the Prem at all cost, fa cup and CL will come in time but No 1 is the prem.

i am in camp two,
Rafa has done nothing in the prem in 4 years, how many points have we takem from the top 3 in the pream in the last 4 years?

say's it realy.

Just want to make it brief......

1)make a deal with mourinho now.... Let him know he can take over in the summer.
2)If we go out in the champions league, tell rafa he will be out at the end of the season (this is the most respectable way we can get rid of him). He can then go back to spain and do what he is good at over there.....
3)Bring in mourinho secretly and let me start his work now...(accessing the team and all and motivating the team to finish at least 4th).
4)Mourinho unvieled as LFC manager in the summer
5)Any players who b1tch about rafa not in charge anymore....kick them out....we want players to perform for LFC not rafa....
6)Bang.......we win the premier and champions league for 2008/2009  :buttrock

Just to sum ur post up eh , bring mourinho in now and tell rafa he's out? And emerald , he may not be jesus but i don't think he can do wrose then rafa , at least he doesn't ROTATE for FFS , Rafa is fuc.king stubborn , he keeps taking small side lightly and look what has happened

Win the prem in curent circumstances? Your havin a laugh! To make a serious challenge that lasts all season and to make head way in the champs league takes stability! L:ike we had in the 70s and 80s and United in the 90s and now.

Current Liverpool fc will not win the prem even if we get in Jose Mourinho!

You hark on about loyalists  :D  but we are not as rose tinted as you think sir.

Now to the people being hypcritical, at one turn you are telling the games moved on and the next breath you are telling us we don't do these things at our club, well let me tell you that I agree we have moved but then trying to suggest we are still a club that does things the right way and behind closed doors is just laughable,

Get him out now

why get him out .... if u got the fu.ckin guts ..get the fu.ckin owners out ... who started this mess in the first place ..
and ruined our fu.ckin season !

why is it the owners fault? they provided millions this summer to strengthen the team and gave the manager full support! rafas rotation system failing :censored: our season up
The devil on the badge represents the equality of manchester united with satan and his many demoish minions downstairs. just like the many twisted devil worshipers accross the world it means you have to posess the same sick minded mentality to follow that pathetic excuse for a football team.

You have just reiterated what i have said in my previous post......the CURRENT Liverpool team are not good enough to win the prem....and that boils down to one man...Rafa! do you think mourinho would put up with half the sh*te that rafa plays/selects each week? Me thinks not, sorry but it needs someone like mourinho who has the vision to see through Rafa's "rose tinted glasses" and buy players who are proven class. :nod

With the Van Gaal situation though he was hated by the fans and the press from day one was never a poular manager at Barcalona at yet i can see the simalarities because he was critisized for not making an impact in European compertition and the amount of Dutch players he brought in
