INTER MILAN vs LIVERPOOL: CL-11/03/08 - 2nd Leg - Build up and Match Discussion

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

So 5-1 over 2 games?  You are really this arrogant? Jeez. Well too can play at that game.

Inter in recent years were not so bad as people think in Europe. They got unlucky and went out on away-goals in their last 2 campaigns. In fact they are 4/5 best team on the UEFA Coef list for clubs.

Those names except for F.Torres make me laugh. You’re a 1 man team and it’s not Gerrard. You will never get 3-0 because all your club those in the CL is defend and get lucky. It didn’t work against Benfica and it most certaintly will not against Inter who are better / a lot better man for man.

I cant wait to see Kuyt play the man always makes me laugh with his unbelievable touches and shots. Even Inter’s youth team can qualify against this Liverpool team with Francesco Bolzoni and Balotelli having some fun with Kuyt.

Well obviously I don’t think Inter will have any problems breaking you down in Liverpool at Anfield. What is your biggest defeat there anyway?

0-5. Ibracadabra assists and Cruz / Suazo banging them in mostly…

I'm with Ciggy's formation.  Gerrard has played quite a few nice through balls to Torres, and sometimes thats all the team tries to do.

My prediction Liverpool 3 - 1 Inter. (Torres 23', Crespo 36', Torres 54', Gerrard 76')

For the second match, I'd like to see the first one first :P.

Oh, I hear that Inter fans must be laughing at us and are apparently sh*tting themselves at the same time. That's a strange condition right there, and I'd advise them going seeing a doctor.

I dont know about giving Gerrard a free role in front of the midfield.

I think we tried that against AC Milan in last years final and it didnt exactly work did it.

Play Gerrard on the right instead of Pennant and plat Crouch up front with Torres.

Why would inter laugh?  They aren't in the FA cup.  Instead they have to worry about the team wanting revenge, the team wanting to prove that they can play football.

At least thats what I hope, if the players have given up it will be a sad day.  However I don't think that will happen so lets stay positive.  Against Barnsley (sp?) we didn't play our strongest team, and it showed.  Inter will be playing a strong liverpool side, and when the players can get it together they are deadly.  Let's just hope they play like they did against Chelsea, and not the first half of Sunerland game.

Torres is fit to play, and he is dying to play Real Madrid in the CL.  Only one way for that to happen, and it's winning.

Just a sarcastic dig at those who have said such things. Pinch of salt.

And putting Pennant on the right is also mad.

We are the home team and need to attack so there is no point in going 5 in midfield with one up front.

Get Crouch up there with Torres or who would you suggest??

Kuyt?

Then again he did score today and people on here change their  opinion by the game so I suppose he is a world class striker again.

v tough game.  i think we may nick it 2-1 at home but probably be 1-1.  rafa may just be feeling pretty desperate right now and i wont be surprised if he starts 1 up front. negative!!

I really don't care anymore what Rafa puts with Torres, today showed me that crouch can't cut it either.

I would say play Torres as a lone striker.

I'm fine with stevie being on the right and ur comment on kuyt , well the same could be said about alonos , although he had a decent game today , it was only one game . Torres and kuyt understand each other better . If i had the choice i would stick babel up there with torres but we all know its not gonna happen , so kuyt wud be the best bet
