Who would we of kept that Benitez has sold? Didi Hamman maybe, but even he we wouldn't of kept. Look at the other sides around us, United constantly sell their best players, Robson, Hughes, Keane, Beckham, Van Nistlerooy but still win titles. Arsenal sell Henry and are top of the league. Chelsea have sold their better players like Gallas and Robben. So these clubs are selling their better players, yet still improving. We're selling our worst players and going backwards, somehow that doesn't add up to me.

cos they can sell and then spend £80 million on 3 players WE CANT we would only have half a team

I remember Mike Walker did a fantastic job at Norwich (beat Bayarn munich in UEFA cup after finishing second or third the year before), was given a lot of money at Everton and was terrible.
Moyes MIGHT just be a great manager at a top 10 type club - there is no way of knowing how he'd do if given £100m.
However, his team might finish above us for the second time in four seasons which would be astonishing considering the money difference.
Winning cups in nice but the league is what counts.

So you're telling me that if we wanted we couldn't afford 80 million without losing half the squad. Of course we could afford it. We're Liverpool Football Club. Our name around the world alone could afford 60 million.
