Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

good 1st half performance by us... 2nd half chelsea was pressureing us alot... usually I would be satisfied with a draw here... but i'm not because those 3 points would have been huge... I can't help but wondering what could have been if crouch had put away that sitter that babbel provided... it clearly shows that we need better quality up front...(and this includes crouch, kuyt and voronin)... we missed our opportunity in the first half where we should have been up front... chelsea were always gonna come back strongly in the 2nd half since it's their home game... mascherano was again immense IMO...

Mascherano - f*cking awesome. It's unforgivable how the Yanks have refused to put their hands in their pockets for him. If we let him go I'll  honestly despair at the state of our club.

I thought we played very well today, we were easily the better team and really should have won comfortably. Lack of firepower cost us again. We thrashed them 0-0 :D

agreed... I'm starting to believe that if we can sign him and sell one of our strikers and sign a very good creative striker then we can be up there with the rest...

A good result at a notoriously difficult venue.

A very professional display which made the mega-money men look ordinary. It's just a shame we didn't manage to win, despite having the chances to.

Spot feckin on, lying b@stard Tom Hicks said he was signing for us 3 weeks ago on the radio.

We need more than that. Of course, this is if Rafa is allowed. We need a quality left and right winger and a second striker. Problem solved.

did we have an attempt on goal in the second half?

another drab boring game although one point is more than we  could have hoped for, however with a manager who had a clue about subs we could possibly have left will all 3

I thought Skrtyl played very well considering the profile of the match.

Did Chelsea?

Were they the home side? Is their side three times more expensive than ours?

Yep i called it, i also said it would be a result that would get us going again and i think that'll  be the case, clean sheet was the most important thing.  PS  you should hear the mancs moan on 606 AF has lost the plot, Giggs and Scholes are finished, Ronaldo no where near best in the world, class.

Lets face it, if he was Pinocchio he'd have a nose nearly as big as Thommo's by now with all the lies he's fed us!!  :D

ballacks attempt was quite close so yes they did. ah well if you are happy with that then thats all well and good, personally i saw another chance of getting 3 points back on the mancs but rafa went out of his way once again to not lose as opposed to going for the win,

i just say it as i see it and the sooner that clown is away from our club the better
