GK:
Sorted.
Sell Carson.

CB:
Sorted.
Give hyypia another year and/or let hobbs get a few more chances to prove himself.

FB:
Sell 1-2 of Riise, Aurelio, Finnan.
Buy at least one fullback with attacking qualities, like Alves or possibly Lahm. Give Insua some chances.

Midfield:
Force Gerrard to the right or sell him if he refuses.
Masch, Lucas and Alonso can rotate the 2 CM places.
Buy a quality left winger, possibly Silva.
Release Kewell and sell Pennant and possibly benayoun.
Give Leto some chances.

Striker:
Sell Crouch, Kuyt and Voronin.
Buy creative striker for instance Diego, Rafael van der vart or Aguero(though i have not seen him enough to say if he is as good as the hype).

My team then is something like this:

                      Reina
Alves        Carra/Skrtel    Agger        Arbeloa
Gerrard     Lucas/Alonso   Masch     Silva
                Diego
                               Torres

And i would make Carra the captain.

reina

alves
carraghar
agger
insua (think he has world class potential and would save us millions)

quaresma
gerrard
mascherano
alonso
babel

torres

i would play a attacking 4 3 3 formation wih quaresma and babel either side of torres, i feel this would offer pace power skill and a goal threat like ushited have with tevez rooney and ronaldo, and steve masch an xabi could win and keep the ball better then any midfield in the world, plus insua and alves would offer width form he fullback positions
i think we could afford the signings of alves and quaresma , two world class players imo

bench: (new 7players rule)

arebola
skretel
lucas
pennant
benyoun
crouch
pacheco(lik insua has wold class potential imo)

Is Goran Pandev (I think that's his name, plays in Italy and is from Macedonia) any good? I heard we were after him in January, is he the sort of "creative forward" we need?
1) You'll Never Walk Alone
2) pass and move is the Liverpool groove
3) FIRST WILL ALWAYS BE FIRST AND SECOND WILL ALWAYS BE NOTHING.
4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

What I would love to see!

Reina

Alves  Richards  Agger  Lahm

Bentley  Gerrard  Mascha  Robben

             Babel    Torres

Now obviously never gonna happen but Bentley and Robben are probably obtainable.

Reina

Alves Carra Agger Bale

           Masha
Mancini             Ribéry
           Gerrard

                  Babel
       Torres

4 players short of greatness!

I was just watching the Sevilla-Barcelona match and that Diego Capel looks like a really talented left winger.  The guy is fast and he's a really good dribbler, he can also put in a great cross.  I'd love to see him here.

He looks a bit like Messi.

he is only 19 and Sevilla don't look like they are going to make the champions league, they might not even make the UEFA Cup. wouldn't seem out of the question to look into either him or alves or both, same with some of the Valencia attacking players

I think that this summer we're going to raid the hell out of Spain.

I wonder is Spain is going to try and do the same (Rafa, Xabi, and Reina)

I hope we are the Raiders  :pirate     :D

I agree with the general mood...ie, we need wingers!

Id buy quaresma and petrov and Micah Richards as well, the best young english player at the moment.

                       Reina

        Richards Carra Agger Aurelio

Quaresma  Gerrard  Mascherano Petrov

                    Torres Babel

Richards can move into centre if needed and insua should be bled in slowly, looks good

YES!

Add another qulaity attacking player to our team, a match winner in other words and we can turn at least 1/2 those draws into wins!
