I blame the failure of Gonzalez and other wide solutions that have come in.

Pennant has been patchy, but ok.

If Gonzalez had lived up to (maybe exceeded) the expectation then I reckon we would be challenging for the title.

He still hasn't bought a winger worthy of playing for LFC (see John Barnes, Beardsley, mcmanamann, Houghton, heighway(before my time though) for the standard)

and his only good attacking purchase in four years is Torres (Crouch is just okay but to make matters worse he is on the bench must of the time).

Rotation has also destroyed consistency.

Niall I wouldn't call Sammy Lee or Jimmy Case the greatest out and out wingers, but they go down as legends for Liverpool because of their work rate, so it's not all about flying past people with pace and skill. Saying that Benitez hasn't bought a winger in the Case or Lee mould either

I'm still a fan of Pennant and rate him highly, so I think 1 wing has been sorted. Left is still a problem, I like Babel but he's a better forward. Leto, give him a run in the side so we can make our minds up on him. Kewell is useless. Aurellio useless. Riise getting worse with each game. So the left is a huge problem unless Leto/Hammill/summer signing make it their own next year.

it's not just the rotation of the team selection thats the problem,but the rotation of the team as the game is being played.no as a clue what the hell they are supposed to do.
